Outpost Buildings NZ — Local services in Hibiscus and Bays

I looked at lots of off-the-shelf henhouses and really liked the look of the Outpost ones. Farming friends of mine also have several different Outpost buildings - a henhouse, a calf shed and a garden shed - and recommended them. I purchased the three-bay henhouse, and comprehensive assembly instructions were posted separately. The henhouse was fun to put together, and works beautifully with the mobile poultry fence I purchased from another supplier. The Outpost design is carefully thought through, the materials are robust and durable, it looks really smart, and functions brilliantly. My new pullets have been very happy with their accommodation for the nearly six months I've had them now, and the six of them are rewarding us with six eggs pretty much every day of the week, right through to today, the shortest day of the year. We purchased the 4 bay house just before heading away overseas. There was no one else offering the size and quality of chook house that we needed in the timeframe we had. The team did an amazing job getting the kitset to us in double quick time. My partner built it relatively easily from the plans and instructions and added a couple of extra features that suited us including the feeder covered area and the water tank. The girls love the house so much it only took one night to get them into the new house and within a few weeks they started laying for the first time and mostly use the nesting boxes (except for two problem chooks who insist on laying on the floor!). We’ve just fully set up our large playhouse and Lena absolutely loves it!! All the items we needed to build it were included in the kitset and the instructions were easy to follow. We’re thrilled we chose the same coloursteel roof as the house, as it blends in well.
