The Wade Bar & Bistro — Restaurant in Hibiscus and Bays

Well. I looked up on internet and the cafe shows up with good reviews. I trusted and came over to the restaurant. We ordered an Asian platter and a Tandoori pizza. The manager, I believed, she put down the order as Combo platter which is a totally different type of food which we were not really fond of( we got to know the miscommunication when the food was delivered), so anyways, the pizza came 1st, flat and boring looking, even Domino’s would look much better, then the platter, we realised that it was not what we ordered, so we went and asked the lady who took our order, and she insisted that we pointed at “the combo platter” when we clearly “told” her what we wanted. Anyways, we still accepted the food, the food flavour wise is acceptable, the chicken wing is bland, just dip in the sauce and it would become delicious, I don’t think delicious food work in that way, the pork ribs, well, not a fan, same as the wings, just cover it in BBQ sauce wouldn’t make any different. The only thing I like is the mussels, and that’s why I gave three star. The rest of the meal, not really enjoyable, but we paid for it so didn’t wanna wasted it, we tried but couldn’t finished it. The pizza base, flat, few pieces of chicken, few slices of red onion, few basil leaves, and cheese, $19. Pizza club done a much better job at this price. And the staff took ages to do the bills, I don’t know what were the problem but they couldn’t find the table in the system so they had to re submitted the order, the whole process of paying is like 5-7 mins. When we went home that night, didn’t feel pleasant, the food combination wasn’t that good. But I don’t think I will go back...

Give this place a miss if you want to be served a drink. We waited 45mins and still no drinks. There was no service at all. I hosted a group of 16 people I spent most of my time asking where our drinks were, asking for glasses to drink our wine out of, requesting our orders to be taken, literally doing their bloody job!!!! No one there could make a decision I spoke to the waitress and two duty managers and no one could answer why they only have 2 staff members on when they had so many lunch bookings. I really wished I was able to walk out but how do you relocate and cater for 16 people without a booking at another venue. I have repeatedly emailed the owner, as requested. Kat Urlich has both my email address and cell number and she hasn't bothered to get in contact with me. Please DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE if you like your meal and drinks served in a timely manner they do not know how to do this nor do they know what customer service is. Dined on the restaurant side after a last minute booking which I appreciated however what a let down!! It has clearly changed ownership since my last visit! If you are happy to pay for undersized and over priced “pub food” then this is the place as it certainly isn’t up to the restaurant quality food it has had in the past! Eg…$24 for 6 pieces of packaged lemon pepper squid and a few lettuce leaves in a small bowl (did not include chips) My daughter was spoken to rudely by the waiter after a genuine mistake with our food! Outside furniture needs some TLC (see pic) which I kindly told them after our table actually broke underneath with a bit of wood hit my mother in the knee! We were kindly given a 7.5% discount for the inconvenience (wouldn’t have if my mother didn’t say something) Honestly the only thing that made our visit enjoyable was the company!!
