Jamaica Blue — Restaurant in Hibiscus and Bays

Worst meal ever served.

Every one in the group received Raw bacon, rubbery half raw-half cooked mushrooms, inconsistently cooked poached eggs around the table and sour, off tasting hollandaise sauce. Some of the sides of mushrooms smelled and tasted like soap while others was covered in black char like stuff. Hash browns were cooked in old oil but were still the most edible thing on the plate.

When discussing the state of the food around the table and suggesting that the lady should try the mushrooms, she picked at them and replied saying she doesn't eat mushrooms. They then made another batch of mushrooms that came out worse and more soapy than before. The manager attended our table and we offered the mushrooms. She then picked at them some more and said she will talk to the chef.

We were told that no other customer had this problem with eggs benedict before and that the food must be okay. There were stacked up dirty dishes on the food counter, dishes on tables. The staff didn't appear to work there by the way they wore scuffs (jandals) and shorts in and out of the kitchen. Apart from the disgusting food that we did receive, we had to ask for our extras after not receiving them and also received other items that we never asked for.

After receiving a long waited 14 dollar refund of my 75 dollar bill, we took our stuff and left. Unbelievably disappointing...

I came in kindly and asked the barista who was serving me how there day was. He abruptly said “what do you want?” And I asked what origin their single origin was from. He had no idea, his co worker answered “Jamaica Blue” ?? He proceeded to make my oat cinnamon cappuccino , and topped it with chocolate. When i expressed I had asked for cinnamon- the barista rudely told me I had asked for chocolate. This experience was already really sour and didn’t feel like arguing about he said she said, I would’ve rather he just asked if I wanted one made correctly - there’s no need to get rude and mad just from mishearing something. His coworker laughed in embarrassment and I walked.

Tasting the coffee: Espresso tastes like grind is too course, over-extracted watery bitterness Milk hasn’t been steamed enough, tasted about 50 degreees, lukewarm at best.

Worst place to go. Went around 4.30 to get a coffee. Walked in, the owner stares while cleaning the floor. I've asked if it's still open and she looked at me with no expression on her face and even looked angry and mumbling it opens til 5.30pm. So I said oh! That's great than I could have a quick coffee and she stares with same no expression on her face and ignores. I've felt bad on her reaction So told her that we are leaving because we don't feel we are welcomed here and she started to make excuse on that it is because she didn't see us??? Anyhow we left the place and she speaks out loud "YOU CAN HAVE COFFEE SOMEWHERE ELSE" ????Did I get this right? IYou can have coffee somewhere else I dont care?? Wow. So shamed on her attitude!!
