Just a wonderful and magic place to be. The surf is awesome, warm and friendly. The surf club looks out for ya. Its a great spot for some FnC - nice and sheltered from the Southwesterly winds - if Pilot Bay is too windy and cold, Omanu is the spot.

One of my favorite beaches. Surf Life saving club right there, great for children to swim between the flags. Parking nearby, not too busy like mount main, simply fantastic!

One of my favorite beaches. Surf Life saving club right there, great for children to swim between the flags. Parking nearby, not too busy like mount main, simply fantastic!

There's a great Surf Lifesaving team on duty at Omanu beach plus good changing rooms and clean toilets. Good waves for surfing or swimming and a long expanse of beach for walking...
