Just witnessed quite disgusting behaviour from the group of young girls working in the shop today. A disabled man ordered what he thought was wedges . He was instead given normal chips with sour cream on them. He confronted the girls to have them argue and laugh about him in front of him and other customers. Not caring at all what anyone thinks of them. The poor guy got really upset at his treatment. This all could have be resolved kindly by cooking up some wedges for him ( what are they worth ? Probably $1 to the shop) . Instead they allowed the situation reach boiling point then talked about how scared they were of him! The guy could hardly walk! What a bunch of little brats you have working at Omanu fish n ship shop. Customer service training( and a little lesson on how to treat people ) could go a long way . Absolutely revolting! Chips were over cooked and dry. Fish was obviously pre frozen and hard, batter was greasy and over cooked. Never had fish so bad....couldn't eat it. Vege spring roll was thrown in the microwave and then fried....tasted weird. Patty in the burger looked like squashed sausage meat and was barely cooked....more limp lettuce than meat. The battered meat patty tasted like deep fried fat with a texture of crusty sausage meat. The wait for the food was almost intolerable. Music blarting out of what sounded like 2 separate radios, playing different stations and the tv was also on with the volume up too. Top it off with the phone ringing...not even sure it was answered, then the fan and the sound of the friers, just made for an all round awful experience. Will never, ever...

On a previous visit I asked for no salt and not to over cook my scallops. One of the staff put salt on( I was watching) then picked out a scallop to recook it leaving the rest of my order to go cold. By the time I got my food it was in pools of oil and it was dripping off. I was really looking forward to it because Omanu takeaways had a good name. It was Valentines day. I went back yesterday to give them another try. It was the same young lady who served me previously. I told her how I felt about my previous order. Her response was ok so do you want to order or not completely ignoring my complaint and it felt like what I had to say was unimportant! Not in a hurry to...
