Otaki Swimming Pool — Local services in North Island

Fantastic little indoor pool situated beside a park. It has a water park, a shallow kids pool, and a larger laps pool, as well as a sauna and spa. The facilities are clean and the staff are helpful. There's always a lane for swimming/walking, which is enforced.

If you go in the morning it's not so busy, but generally it's a very quiet pool compared to waikanae or pram. It's an excellent place to do low impact rehab exercises, and they have a ramp and a chair lift if you struggle to get in and out of the pool.

I tried waikanae and paraparaumu pools, but the kids were constantly coming into the swimming lane with toys and colliding with me mid-swim, as they don't enforce the swimming/walking only lanes. Now I only go to Otaki pools.

This place was a life saver while I was healing from my back injury. And now that I'm in my third trimester of pregnancy and swimming is one of the few exercises I am still allowed to do, I find myself coming back...

Nicely set in Haruatai Park in Otaki. A main pool with 1.1 metre deep and there is another small pool with shallow one for kids or toddlers. A Spa a bit old half side working and the cotroller doesn't indicative as it's worn-out. Ask help to staff, they will happy to help you. The Sauna box was bigger than what it looked like from the outside. Good 5 people can seat together I reckon. Two people can seat together comfortably in the closed sauna. A 33.3m indoor pool that is just over waist height on me. Great for swimmers and walkers with a few lanes allocated to play at certain times during the day. Timetables on website are up to date. Also has spa, sauna and children’s pool. I started with swimming and have now changed to mostly walking with some swimming to break up my sets of walking. I can walk 50 lengths in the pool, which is far more than I can do without stopping when out and about, yet my legs and lungs get a great workout. Lovely staff, clean facilities, highly...
