Recently, I discovered Palm Springs Geothermal Pools Complex and really enjoyed it at first. I even recommended it to the Care Society where I work and brought people with me several times. However, today I witnessed something absolutely unacceptable in the tiger with 38-degree Celsius pool. A couple was engaging in extremely inappropriate and intimate behaviour in the water. I immediately reported it to a staff member by the pool, but he did not seem to understand or react. I then informed the reception team, who appeared confused and responded very slowly. Feeling shocked, uncomfortable, and deeply disappointed, I left the facility. Unfortunately, the management did not take prompt or serious action and allowed the offenders to continue using the pool. It is extremely upsetting that such behaviour is tolerated in a public facility. This lack of response from management makes guests feel unsafe and disrespected. A place as nice as Palm Springs Geothermal Pools Complex should protect its visitors, act immediately in such situations, and maintain clear standards of safety and hygiene. The pools were clean and warm, all areas were clean and tidy and price was good. The thing that let them down was how my toddler and I were treated. My son (23 months) picked up a cone that was laying next to the pool and started running with it. Naturally I started chasing him but as I’m 9 months pregnant it was more of a fast waddle. I caught up with him and started taking the cone out of his hand as an older male employee approached us. He said NO! And swiped the cone from my hands. I apologised and kept walking and he followed me and said NO - you come! I said I understood and kept walking he yelled again demanding I follow him so he could show me where it was meant to go. I was embarrassed and intimidated. He then spent the next hour with his chair pulled up to the pool close to where my toddler and I were swimming and every time I looked up he was staring very intensely at me as to say I’m watching you. It was awful. I wanted to leave but my son was having such a great time. I will not return even though the pools were lovely....
