Cam was a fantastic guide and made the whole day feel effortless. He really knows his wine and clearly has a great connection with the region, knowing the staff at each winery by name and getting us a few special additions along the way. The tastings flowed perfectly, with thoughtful tweaks that made each stop feel like part of a bigger experience. The vineyards he picked were a mix of biodynamic, B Corp certified or organic certified, the lunch spot was a great pick too, with plenty of vegan options. The bus was spacious and air-conditioned, making the whole day even more comfortable. If you love wine and want a relaxed but well-organised tour, this is the way to do it!

We had a wonderful day with Hop n Grape and Cam was just amazing. It was a great little group of only 6 and so it was very personal. We were at several awesome smaller wineries and had a delicious lunch break. When Cam realized that my wife is not so much into white wine he replanned the tour and made it possible that we stop at other locations than originally planned, such as a place which makes awesome „Champagne-like“ sparkling wine and at the Fromm Winery were we could focus completely on their selection of wonderful red wines. Thank you Cam for sharing your incredible knowledge, your flexibility and for making this day absolutely unforgettable!

Cameron was incredibly informative and friendly, making the entire day feel relaxed and enjoyable. We visited five stunning vineyards, each offering something unique and memorable. We especially enjoyed the cozy open fires—a perfect touch for this time of year. Each vineyard had its own fascinating story, and I found myself learning a lot about how the environment influences the grapes. Lunch at Allan Scott Bistro was a true highlight: my duck dish was one of the best I’ve ever had, and my friend’s vegan soul bowl was just as impressive. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the region in style and comfort!

I have been on multiple wine tours around the Marlborough region but this one was hands down the best experience. We booked a private group tour and had the wonderful Darlene as our guide. Everyone in our group had an amazing time and we all especially loved getting to go behind the scenes at one of the wineries. We had a great selection of Wineries chosen for our tour, most of which none of us had been to before which was great for those of us who had been on multiple tours previously. Darlene was super informative and answered all our questions and encouraged us to give our thoughts on each wine and share our preferences. No answer or question was seen as too silly, she felt more like apart of the group rather than a tour guide laughing along with us and sharing stories. One thing that really stood out to me was coming across a group at one of the wineries who had previously had Darlene as a tour guide, they remembered her face and name and let her know what a wonderful time they had on her tour and wished they had her this time. This really goes to show the amazing service she obviously provides to every tour she takes; you can really tell she loves her job and is passionate about the wine industry. We will 100% be back again and recommending this tour to all...

We picked our winter vacation destination after seeing a name on a wine we had been buying for years. Marlborough, New Zealand was the wine region on the label. We knew nothing about NZ and Marlborough, but Cameron from Hop ‘n Grape Tours solved it for us. We booked a private tour and enjoyed a fun day of wine tasting and learning about wine making from an expert. Cameron arrived on time and took us to 4 small, unique wineries. He is well known among vineyard owners and showed us many interesting details about vineyard operations, grape varietals and viticulture. I recommend you book with Cameron and have him take you to Framingham, Clos Henri and Hunter’s - all have amazing stories and superb wine. There is no bad wine in Marlborough, NZ, but Cameron from Hop ‘n Grape Tours will guarantee you taste only the best wines in the region. I wish we lived closer to NZ, so we could visit more often. Thanks for a memorable tour Cameron - Gidday Mate! Grant & Robyn...

Great experience. We are a group of 5 -3 adults and 2 kids and we weren’t sure if kids were allowed. Cameron and Darlene accommodated our very last min booking without even asking us to pay beforehand— and for the kids — it was based on ‘donation- what we felt it was worth for the kids’ - it was very kind and gracious of them!

The tour itself was great! Darlene first asked everyone about their win preferences and brought us to 5 different wineries. Each was different and has its own charm. We got to learn more about how wine is made.

Darlene herself used to work in wineries so we got to know lot more in depth and can sense her passion for the wine industry.

She also went out of her way to make the kids feel welcome and not ‘bored’, even stopping at a chocolate factory on top of the 5 wineries.

We also had one of the best Meal at one of the winery. A place we would have missed out if not for the tour.

Thank you Darlene and Cameron for...
