Having just seen the signs for this on the road, we popped in not knowing what to expect. This local gin is all distilled and bottled on site, and their specialty pinot noir gin is made using local Marlborough grapes. They gave a really interesting run down of the different botanicals and stories behind each gin in the tasting flight, and suggested tasting both neat and with tonic. Whilst the pinot noir gin was unfortunately not for me, the Marlborough Dry and the Navy Strength were absolutely delicious. I can't normally stomach a Navy Strength but the flavours in this are beautiful and make for a really smooth and tasty drink. Sitting outside in their garden, on a couch in the shade, sipping on what was an absolutely perfect drink, I was definitely in my happy place. I'm halfway through my New Zealand adventure, with Christchurch/Blenheim behind and Wellington/Auckland ahead. It absolutely does not get any better than this.

Read moreWe stopped by on a whim with our toddler today. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. We sat on a blanket and pillows to try the delicious gin. The extra touches were exceptional. Bringing an extra water glass for the little one for example showed attention and care.
