Sandvika Storsenter is one of Norway’s largest malls and my favorite mall. It has everything a good shopping mall should have. Welcoming and friendly staff. Many good affordable restaurants. The mall has both McDonald’s and Burger King. It has about 200 different shops. Some non-mainstream shops. Clean, free, stylish, and spacious toilets. Plenty of parking floors, all of them having 3 hours of free parking. I have some suggestions to the leaders of Sandvika Storsenter, so that they can make people’s shopping experience even better and more pleasant: I think the mall lacks variation of decorations. Sure the marble and large tinted glass windows looks beautiful, but the mall feels somewhat empty, especially in some areas. So I think colorful, themed, and large pretty physical decorations based on all four seasons (Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring) combined with seasonal events (Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, Halloween, etc.) will help a lot. The decorations have to be in the entire mall in suitable areas, not just in the main parts. More large indoor plants like coconut trees (or even Norwegian conifers/pine trees) would also be beautiful. The mall is very large, and may feel like a big maze for some people. Therefore, better and more signage for where each shop and floor is would help. Finally, more mall benches and beautifully themed free places, where people can rest before, during, and after shopping. The resting places should be uniquely themed, so they also work as easily noticeable meeting points. If you need more specific inspiration, look at Changi Airport (in Singapore). Thank you so much for reading my review, sorry if it...

Read moreGiant labyrinth shopping mall with any kind of shop one may need. The availability of goods is simply unlimited as it's possible to find anything among sport gear or appliances. Sandvika Storsenter is structured in a particular manner that doesn't seem too orientation-friendly at the first glance. It is indeed composed of two major buildings connected by a long gallery along which many shops find place on the sides. Both major structures are arranged on several levels but only the smaller one has a huge hall from where it's possible to look at all the shops at once. The bigger building is instead on several levels that look all alike eachother, so pretty confusing. The place is easy to reach even with public transport and it's sure the biggest directly outside of Oslo.
Highly...
