My husband and I spent an amazing two days climbing with Stian, our Northern Alpine Guide. We are beginner ish climbers and definitely needed a skilled professional leading the way. Well, Stian was just that! He was extremely skilled/knowledgeable, patient, and relaxed during the climbs. He was very encouraging and consistently gave positive feedback when we struggled with a few of the difficult climbing moves. Overall, the conversation was great and his company was enjoyable. Felt like we were climbing with an old friend. I definitely recommend him/Northern Alpine Guides. I managed to take a couple of pictures of the views. At the top of the spire (‘the goat’) you can see the silhouettes of Stian and my husband getting ready to rappel down. It was an epic 11/10 experience!

Climbing Svolvaergaeita with NAG is a MUST! Note: I am a 61 yo male with an average + fitness level and a complete novice re rock climbing (never done it before). I had the good fortune of having Seth Hobby - NAG's owner and consummate professional guide with 20+ years of global climbing/guiding experience (think Swiss Alps, Nepal, New Zealand, etc) - to guide my first-ever rock climb. Seth's relaxed, super-communicative, patient, and instructional approach to guiding immediately put me at ease and gave me the confidence to safely and successfully climb Svolvaer's famed Goat Horns. Moreover, Seth enabled me to ENJOY my first-ever rock climbing experience. I HIGHLY recommend Seth and NAG to guide your next Lofoten climbing, skiing, or biking adventure!

Our experience with Northern Alpine Guides was truly memorable and a once in a lifetime experience for me and my daughter. Seth was both professional, knowledgeable and friendly. His experience made our rock climbing adventure smooth and manageable. Seth was able to keep us focused and confident. I highly recommend using Northern Alpine Guides. If we return to the Lofoten Islands I will definitely book another trip with them!

We're a family of 3, we have a climbing enthusiastic 8-year old son. We have some experience with indoor top-rope climbing and wanted to try something new and challenging: climbing outdoors, on rock! So we booked a day tour climbing with Northern Alpine Guides and it's safe to say that this was one of the absolute highlights of our Lofoten trip! We met with our guide Martin at a beautiful climbing area near Svolvær and spent the whole day there, hiking to different places where Martin put up top-ropes for us to climb. He did assess our abilities very well and put up routes that were just the right amount of challenge but also doable for each of us. So we definitely had lots of feelings of accomplishment! We even rappelled down to a big ledge directly by the sea (and climbed up again) which was awesome. Martin is an excellent guide, very competent and knowledgeable. We felt in safe hands at all times. We highly recommend Northern Alpine Guides, thank you so much for the...
