Hjørnet Kafé — Restaurant in Vågan

Hjørnet cafe is a great find in Kabelvåg and has excellent homemade sourdough bread, which they make into delicious paninis. It is well worth a stop. We took the vegetarian panini and the omelette panini. Both were excellent and came with a tasty salad that was innovative (not just green leaves). We also had cappuccinos and their freshly baked cinnamon “scones”. Their cappuccino was a good try and had good flavor, but still not a real cappuccino ☹️. They also had pizza slices available, also with innovative toppings. The weather was sunny so we elected to sit outside. We were looking for a cafe and we got randomly to this place. Good coffee and delicious cinnamon buns. Then we read something unusual on the menu: "pizza bianca". This is a common pizza we have in Rome. Why here? In this way we discover that the owner is from Rome. Of course, we want to try it :)

Excellent typical italian roman pizza "a taglio" from a friendly italian pizzamaker. Thick dough, crunchy bottom, as it should be, and with some peculiar local ingredients.

This kafe is lovely, in the middle of Lofotan, surrounded by beautiful places. The atmosphere is super cozy and they offer an amazing variety of sourdough bakery products (pizza, focaccia, bread, cakes and pastry). All the products are homemade from scratch (including the pesto in the pizza!) And they taste delicious.
