Valley of Nuns Holiday Apartments — Local services in Câmara de Lobos

What a wonderful stay. Although Curral das Freiras is a rural town we had planned various hikes in the area and so we decided to stay in the village. And boy, am I glad that we did. We stayed 1 week in the 2 bedroom apartment (four of us) with a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. Our hosts could not do enough for us, they were super friendly and accommodating for all our extra requests as we are serious hikers. The apartment was very clean and had all the necessary facilities. At the entrance to the building is a lovely little coffee shop/snack bar that made some amazing sandwiches for our hikes. I also recommend that you visit the local supermarket if you want to purchase any local made liquors. A wonderful, comfortable stay in Curral das Freiras with superhosts...

My partner and I had the most wonderful stay here! We had the front apartment which has a large balcony with the most incredible views of the valley. The apartment itself is modern, well furnished and extremely comfortable - not to mention large! There is a well equipped kitchen as there are only a handful of restaurants nearby which is great if you choose to stay in. The master bedroom and living room are extremely comfortable and spacious. We did not use the second bedroom but it again was very well kept and spacious. The owners are extremely lovely, communication was great and check in was super easy. I would 100% stay here again if I visit Madeira...
