Berlenga Grande Island — Local services in Peniche

Totally worth the trip, we took the rapid speed boat option with feeling Berlengas and it was a great way to get to the island. You will likely get wet on the boat but it's a lot of fun. Nothing prepares you for the true beauty of three island when you arrive. We walked down to the beach that's taking with fish right where people swim and then took the walk up to the top of the hill to view the lighthouse. Continuing the walk we got to the old fort and braved the 300+ stairs to get down and up. This is truly a beautiful part of the area. The seagulls are not at all scared of humans making closeup...

Beautiful island. 20 minutes away from Peniche if you take the speedboat. We were dropped at the fort where we started a glass boat tour through the caves. Which give you some nice views. After that we started to walk the island from the fort to the small beach. It is not a big walk. But small and steep paths. I liked it. The beach is not big at all, but has a very nice view. We took a fast boat ride (20 mins)from Peniche to Berlangas Island. If you have sea sickness I'll highly recommend a fast boat ride (pick a seat behind).
