A well-organized evening, but a major disappointment with the management

We celebrated a birthday at this establishment, and the evening started off very well. Chantal, who was in charge of the organization, was incredibly helpful. Her professionalism, kindness, and ability to anticipate our needs made the planning smooth and enjoyable. The welcome, the decoration, and the quality of service from her team were truly appreciated.

Unfortunately, our experience was significantly tainted by the behavior of the manager. From the very beginning, he came across as arrogant, oppressive, and extremely unpleasant. His attitude towards us as paying clients was not only unprofessional, but downright disrespectful. He approached us several times in a very condescending and controlling manner, as if we needed to be put in our place—without any courtesy or tact.

Frankly, it’s hard to understand such behavior, especially when you’re celebrating a private event and paying for a service. It almost felt like the money we paid wasn’t “enough” in his eyes to deserve decent treatment. His presence alone made us want to leave, which is truly a shame, considering the rest of the staff was kind and welcoming.

Chillax lounge is a great place for every kind of events. Check out the DJ's coming there at night to know if the place will be a good spot for dancing. Otherwise feel free to have drinks over there it's a great place. Very clean, most of staff is friendly and the owner and manager of the place will always be there to listen to you if you might not be satisfied. Prices are a little more then average for Kigali but the place is very special too so personally I didn't mind but still keep this in mind! Their cocktails are very good and definitely worth their price (about 7.500frw). Music installations are great and the terrace is always available to have a cigarette or some conversations. All in one, a very nice place and definitely worth a night out!
