Anjappar, located in Alkhobar, Saudi Arabia, is a delightful gem for those who crave authentic South Indian cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you are welcomed by the warm, inviting atmosphere and the tantalizing aromas of freshly prepared dishes. The restaurant's decor is simple yet elegant, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of South India.
One of the standout dishes at Anjappar is their dosas. Perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, these dosas are a true testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs. Paired with a variety of chutneys and sambar, each bite is a burst of flavor. The Uttapam, another favorite, is equally impressive, with its soft, spongy texture and generous toppings.
Idly Sambar is a staple at Anjappar and is executed to perfection. The idlis are soft and fluffy, while the sambar is rich and aromatic, providing the perfect accompaniment. These dishes make for a hearty breakfast and are especially popular on Friday mornings when I, along with my friends, visit Anjappar to start our weekend on a delicious note.
Anjappar also excels in non-vegetarian offerings. The brain masala is a must-try for those who enjoy adventurous flavors. Cooked to perfection, it is spicy, savory, and absolutely delightful. The crab masala is another standout, featuring succulent crab meat enveloped in a robust, spicy sauce that leaves you craving more.
The staff at Anjappar are friendly and attentive, ensuring that every dining experience is pleasant and memorable. The service is prompt, and the cleanliness of the restaurant is commendable.
In summary, Anjappar in Alkhobar is a haven for South Indian food lovers. Its diverse menu, coupled with the authentic taste and excellent service, makes it a top choice for breakfast or any meal. Whether you are a long-time fan of South Indian cuisine or a newcomer, Anjappar promises a dining experience that will leave you thoroughly satisfied and...

Read moreI have visited Anjappar in Riyadh and nothing compares to their service and the quality of food provided.
On the contrary, Khobar branch is one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. The food was nothing compared to Riyadh Anjappar.
While dining with my wife, oil started dripping from the ceiling which was very shocking. The oil dripped on my plate and my hand which is when I noticed the ceiling with oil droplets.
The explanation from the staff was that the oil is accumulating from the kitchen chimney. It made sense as the kitchen was right behind us. The staff immediately shifted us to a different table.
However, to my astonishment, the staff simply climbed the chair, wiped off the oil from gypsum ceiling and made the table to seat next customer who walks in. The waiters even directed some customers to sit there. But the floor manager who took our order came and re-accommodated them to a different table citing. He was the only person who had good behavior.
More importantly, the waiters lined up standing casually while leaning on the walls as if they are at a bus stand and they kept staring at all the females seated in the area, including my wife. Such is the atmosphere of this restaurant branch in khobar.
This was my first and last ever visit to Anjappar Khobar. By their state of affairs and going through their previous low ratings, sooner or later, this branch will either shut down or fall in...
