Ambiance: The Mangalore restaurant in Al Khobar offers a pleasant dining environment with a touch of coastal Karnataka's charm. The decor is simple yet inviting, capturing the essence of Mangalorean culture.
Food:
Charmuri: The Charmuri at Mangalore is particularly tasty, standing out as a highlight of the menu. This savory snack, a popular street food in Mangalore, is well-prepared, with the right balance of spices and crunch. Dosas: Unfortunately, the dosas did not meet our expectations. While we anticipated a crisp and flavorful experience, the dosas were somewhat lackluster, lacking the traditional taste and texture one would hope for from a Mangalorean specialty. Coffee: The coffee was just okay, not particularly memorable. It served its purpose but did not impress, missing the rich and robust flavor characteristic of authentic South Indian coffee. Service: The service was satisfactory. The staff were polite and attentive, ensuring a comfortable dining experience. However, there was nothing exceptional to note.
Value for Money: The pricing is reasonable for the quality and variety offered. Given the mixed experiences with the food, it’s a decent place to try, especially for those craving Mangalorean cuisine in Al Khobar.
Conclusion: Mangalore restaurant has its strengths, particularly with the Charmuri, but there is room for improvement, especially with staple dishes like dosas and coffee. It's a good spot for a casual meal, but don't set your expectations too high for a traditional Mangalorean...
Read moreWe have been searching for 100% vegetarian restaurant with South Indian cuisine in Dammam since long time. There are lots of options but some are very costly , some were not up to the mark. At last , I found this restaurant .
I had taken ghee masala dosa. The taste was like never eaten before. The price was so low for such a taste that you will eat more any how. It was prepared fresh and was hot from pan. There are other types of dosas like rava dosa, onion dosa, nutella dosa etc to try . To all dosa lovers, this can be a good spot for people living in dammam, khobar and nearby.
As I had been for the 1st time, I have not tried any other dishes. Overall pricing is set to be affordable and low for all the dishes. Families , singles or friend groups can enjoy great south Indian taste while staying in Dammam, Khobar or near by.
The seating capacity is small, but the ambience in so great and adorable. There is space for family seating too.
The services were great . The staff was calm and helpful.
