I tend to have very disparate and internally divisive experiences with this salon. They undoubtedly provide the best nail art in the city, but their post-purchase service is the WORST. Twice Iâve had issues as soon as I left the salon, and they either ignored my messages and calls or gave me appointments weeks in the future to fix a mistake in my manicure đ¤Ł
Additionally, itâs very strange that they classify and price their nail art based on how long the technician takes to do it, which means if youâre doing something with a beginner who will take longer, youâll end up paying more. So I do have to get in writing their confirmation of the type of nail art Iâm doing before I begin to ensure no issues.
Lastly, theyâre priced and positioned as a luxurious salon but donât offer any drinks or refreshments when youâre inside.
The receptionists are the sweetest and friendliest girls but they feel like a friendly face to salve the bad customer service, as they also tend to become non responsive when I have inquiries or an issue.
I continue to come back for the nail art alone, as their cleaning services are not the greatest, leaving ripped and broken skin at...
Read moreMy appointment was for a basic pedicure with gel polish removal and gel polish on my hands (both with French polish).. I had two ladies looking after me and both were talking in a different language to each other for my whole treatment.
Manicure was not at the level of service I would have expected and French polish was uneven. (My nails look like I did them myself).
Pedicure was not really a pedicure, it was gel polish removal and reapplied. She did use the electric drill with a tiny sandpaper bit to quickly use on the sole of my feet (this is the wrong tool to use) and had no benefit to feet at all. The French polish was better on my feet than my hands.
I expressed to the receptionist that I was not happy with the gel polish on my hands and she offered to have them fixed, this would have ment a full removal and reapplication which I didnât have time for. I was then charged full price! Total cost ÂŁ150 or 729 Sar.
Unfortunately I will not be going back to base and boon...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with the pricing of your nail services in Riyadh and in particular at Base and Boon. While I appreciate the skill and effort of your staff, the cost is simply outrageous. Charging $250 for a BIAB applicationâessentially a gel treatmentâalong with an additional charge for a simple French-style white line is excessive.
Having lived in other countries that usually have high prices, I have never encountered such inflated prices, even at the most high-end salons. What makes it even more frustrating is that I was charged extra just to remove a light color and apply a nude shadeâsomething that should be a standard part of the service.
This kind of pricing feels exploitative and unfair to customers. I will not be returning and will be sharing my experience with others. I hope you reconsider your pricing structure to reflect a more reasonable and...
