This shopping center is a complete mess. It’s overcrowded, with scarce elevators and confusing, nonsensical staircases between floors. I can only imagine why the architect designed it this way—no one in their right mind would.
The placement of the escalators is even more perplexing. Their primary purpose is to transport people, but here, they seem to be used more to keep people on a floor as long as possible, even if that’s not where they want to go. As a result, the shopping center feels sluggish and inefficient.
For instance, I can reach the top floor of TC Usce using escalators, even though they’re moving faster than in this shopping center. If you know your way around shopping centers, you’ll find service and freight elevators that aren’t crowded. In fact, they’re usually empty compared to the consumer elevators.
I can’t help but feel frustrated when I go to a shopping center to buy something specific from a particular store. I end up searching for the service and freight elevators, trying not to trigger any fire alarms. This makes me arrive at my destination faster than I would have if I had used escalators or even normal elevators. Apparently, newborn children are back in fashion, so you have to be a good citizen and let a lot of baby carts and small elevators for this kind of shopping center create a disaster. Most people are afraid to use service or freight elevators, but if there’s no sign prohibiting their use and no security controls, which can easily be implemented using NFC technology or magnetic stripe cards, if you’re staying in an older hotel, for example.
I recently used a magnetic stripe keycard in a hotel in Prague. I was on the 27th floor, out of 28, with a pool and an executive suite. Believe me, taking me from the ground floor to the top was faster than using elevators in any shopping center.
I’ve been to most shopping centers in Belgrade, and most of the new ones have a strange layout that I don’t even want to comment on. But this one takes the cake for the worst.
For consumers like me who know what they want, this shopping center...
Read morePossibly my favourite shopping mall in belgrade. It is not too big, but has everything you need and there are always nice displays to look at. You can find some bigger brands here like SuperDry, Replay and H&M, as well as the big chemists DM and Lilly and a Raffeissen bank. The kids boutiques and toy shops on the upper level have a beautiful selection of things for kids. There is also a small Pepco that sells all sorts of things for a good price - clothes, toys, homeware etc… The games arcade upstairs is pretty nice with so many varieties of games and rides for kids. The food court on the top level has all the usual variety- McDonalds, KFC, gyros , Asian etc.. plenty of spaces to sit inside or outside to eat your meal, and it is nice and clean. There are also some lovely cafes and a sushi place which is quite new. It is across from Ada Ciganlija, easily accessible by bus just up the road and there is free underground parking. Only downside is the parking is a little difficult to find and get in and out of. There are 2 street options to exit onto, so just make sure you choose the...
Read moreAda Mall in Belgrade is one of my go-to shopping destinations when I want a more laid-back experience. The mall is spacious, and the layout makes it easy to move around without feeling cramped. It has a good variety of stores, from fashion brands to electronics, making it a solid choice for most shopping needs. There’s also a nice selection of cafes and restaurants where you can take a break, and the atmosphere is generally calm and relaxed, which is perfect when I’m looking to unwind while shopping.
One of the things I really like about Ada Mall is its location – it’s not as crowded as some of the bigger shopping centers, so I can usually avoid the long lines or hectic crowds. The parking is quite convenient as well, with plenty of spaces available. That said, during the weekends, it can still get busier than usual, but it's never overwhelming.
Overall, Ada Mall offers a pleasant and comfortable shopping experience, especially if you're looking for a more relaxed vibe. It’s not as big as some of the other malls in Belgrade, but it has everything I need. I’d...
