Ambience is relaxing, and the beauticianās skills are good. But Iām not a fan of the sales tactics - particularly the upselling at every session.
I bought a Fave voucher. At the end of the session, they tried to sell me a package for a type of facial which they assessed to be suitable for me (i.e. Signature AF5 facial which they claimed to target 5 key skin problems ā sensitive, acne, aging, pigmentation and dehydration). As I was satisfied with the Fave facial, I decided to buy a package to try.
At every session thereafter, they will always try to sell add-ons or upgrades. For example, the beautician would say that the package I bought is not actually suitable for my skin type, and I should upgrade to another type of facial or add on another service. They would then deduct an extra session from my package (sometimes without even informing me beforehand) for that add-on/upgrade. For instance, they will add some machine treatment for less than 5 minutes and then deduct an extra session from my package (overall duration of the facial is still the same - about 70 minutes ).
This is quite annoying, especially when I was told at the start that the package I bought was targeted at my specific skin concerns. I want to relax during the facial without having to deal with upselling. I also expect to see the results from the package as claimed.
Will update the review and might amend rating after I finish the remaining half...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBrought the voucher from daily vanity for an hour massage for my friend and I. In the beginning they will give you a form to write the areas of body you want to focus on. How hard etc.. we were so excited! But the massage was just horrible. Even after trying to inform the masseuse that I wanted relaxing I donāt think she understood. After the massage, The sales consultant wanted to suggest some package but we had inform her no thanks, she asked why. We just inform we didnāt want. She then remarked: oh massage too hard for you is it. She then state it is TCM massage. But we didnāt ask for tcm massage? We wanted aromatherapy relaxing massage. She said the masseuse will help pick base on what your body needsā¦then later she say my masseuse is very popular for TCM and my friends masseuse is more for relaxing. Ya so basically you write on the form also no use- the style of massage will depend on which person you get. And I have been to TCM massages. This is not it at all. The whole massage- you can tell she doesnāt know what she is doing. Nothing to do with her strength - the massage has No flow no skills. She uses her elbow which I understand need to push on some points of body. But she pushes her weight with her elbow onto the spine instead and kept repeating very minor actions for long period of time. Ok this is the longest review ever. I am just so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot honest. They do not inform you that they will be deducting two sessions instead of one. They say itās based on their beauticians recommendations, but they should be telling you that that would cost two sessions. After many sessions I realized they would say my husband chose something with two sessions but realized they have never told my husband it would cost two sessions. Dodgy practices. Do not recommend.
Edit: Thanks, I had replied to that number but looks like whoever is there is not trained on customer service as they just ignore you when they do not know what to reply. Adding on, there is also something else I found out - whatever that was sold to me ( you wrote we could do gua sha, free eye treatment) was not aligned with the package note Iām given to sign every time. As customers we trust you to be honest and aligned internally. If you sold me something everyone in the company should know about what is included.
I only found out when I went back due to this incident and I went back to check the photo of what you sold me since I found dishonesty (you may call it lack of communication).
To top it off: Facial itself is not bad, other dimensions need improvement and checking which makes the whole...
