I am a frequent shopper at Little Farms, and on this visit the customer service was just appalling. I came by during the evening to get some meat from the butchers, and there was no one at the butcher's- so i went over to the payment counter to approach the staff.
Behind the counter was Som and Nages, who when I asked if there was anyone who could help me with the butchers, she replied- "I'm very busy here" so I said sure, but when you are done perhaps someone can help me? And she told me again that "I'm very busy you need to wait" And i asked if i should wait for her here by the counter or by the butchers? "there"
At this point, I have been nothing but polite with asking for assistance and the tone and replies were just very poor.
I proceeded to head to the butcher's area and waited for 10 mins. While I was waiting, another family came by the butcher's too and i overheard them saying to one another that they will go to the counter to ask for help/assistance. During that time, Som came over and proceeded to take some meat out of the butcher's fridge and packed them. I patiently waited and he just left without saying anything or making eye contact. I asked if he could please help me with just grabbing some meat too since he is there, and i've been waiting for a while. To which his reply was "I have to go back to the counter" I reiterated that I have been waiting for a while, and he replied the same thing and walked off.
I followed him to the counter and saw that the meat was for the family that came after me, who made their payment and left.
At this point I was already upset and decided to give it another 5 minutes. 5 minutes later, the gentleman came over again and said "What do you want?" He was visible very unwilling to help and packed one thing for me and walked off- which i said I want to get other stuff too.
Went back to the counter to make payment, and the lady was then super rude. As she rang my items up, and I was making payment via my phone's ApplePay, as I was unlocking my phone, she said loudly "MAAM SCAN HERE SCAN HERE" and pointed at the credit card machine. Honestly, this kind of attitude is so rude and unnecessary. The whole ordeal made me so uncomfortable. I am also from a customer service background and this sort of service made me so upset; and i rarely write detailed bad...
Read moreI feel compelled to write this review here since Little Farms Grocer has disabled reviews on the Yindii app â which already holds a low 2.9-star rating. That in itself raises questions, but since no one can see what other customers have experienced, I want to share mine openly.
When I placed my order on Yindii, I was reassured by the statement: âAll the products in Yindii surprise bag are perfectly good, hygienic and safe for consumption.â With that promise, I hoped to receive produce that might not look perfect but would still be fresh and edible.
Unfortunately, what I received was far from acceptable: ⢠One slim cucumber, which I think itâs fine ⢠Two red bell peppers already soft and bruised, but the photo doesnât really do the justice of the actual condition ⢠Two dehydrated, bruised apples, ⢠One lime that had already turned yellow, ⢠And a half box of baby tomatoes â yes, literally half, with the box opened and retaped.
I fully understand Yindii is a food rescue platform, and I support the idea of reducing waste. But rescue should never mean dumping produce thatâs no longer reasonably fresh or barely consumable. Instead of feeling that I contributed to reducing waste, I was left feeling misled â almost as if Yindii bags are being used as a convenient dumpster to offload unsellable produce.
This experience makes me understand why Little Farms Grocer carries such poor ratings on Yindii. Itâs not about expecting perfect groceries at a discount â itâs about honesty, quality, and respect for the customers who support both the grocer and the cause of sustainability. Sadly, what I received failed all three. Definitely...
Read moreMy recent shopping experience at Little Farms Market in River Valley was somewhat disappointing, particularly concerning the avocado pricing, which appeared inconsistent. Furthermore, the available weight scales for grocery items seemed insufficient and did not provide an accurate reading, and it was also noted that there was a lack of a self-checkout option, which would have streamlined the overall purchasing process.
I understand that you feel the store could benefit from increased automation to improve efficiency for both customers and staff. It seems like you're suggesting that the current processes are outdated compared to modern standards.
Other competitors have invested heavily in different machinery, but this shop is not really on par with the competitors around them.
I observed that your staff mop the floors at 6 PM, which is the peak period, and that is not professional. Also, I encountered rude responses from your senior staff during...
