The Teahouse Studio — Local services in Singapore

Booked twice to date. Teahouse Studio is wonderful. Easy to book. Easy to communicate over whatsapp.

Do be cautious that staff on location is very different to the person incharge of telecommunications.

At our last booking, we had a very unpleasant experience.

We walked in at 9.44pm to see the previous booking still at place. That worried us as we needed to set up from 9.45pm sharp to be in time and we had previously communicated through whatsapp and were given the green light to set up from 9.45pm.

When we stated our set up time begins, the previous guest responded, it is 9.44pm we still have 1min left can you wait outside?

In no friendly tone.

We would have been more accepting of this, rather uncool but a guest is a guest, except -

said guest as he walkes out at 9.46pm then said to us, I'm also be a staff member here.

That changed how we feel about this place.

This is in addition to our first booking where another staff member yelled at us in front of our guests that he has had a very bad day and we were being rude to ask him to step out if he is leaving so we may close the door to keep the aircon cool.

We totally understand having a bad day. We cannot understand yelling at us in front of our guests at our event which we paid to use.

So do be cautious that while telecommunications over whatsapp is absolutely wonderful, our real life experiences with their staff a whole less so. More often unpleasant.

The space however is suited to my needs and the person I am texting with is rather lovely so this is still a 5 star review at this moment.

I booked this place to hold my 21st birthday party. Although I didn’t manage to view the place in person, the host (Ian) offered to do a video call to give me confidence in my booking. Communication with him was very smooth and efficient and I can tell he was very genuine which I appreciated!

I had about 30 pax and the studio could accommodate everyone comfortably with space to hang around or play games.

The studio was beautiful - I loved the furnishings and the lighting. It was also well equipped with 4 large tables and more than 20 chairs + step stools, and a sofa area with a coffee table. You can also rent mics and projectors at an additional costs. They were easy to use and a great add on!

The toilets outside of the studio were also very clean. The studio thoughtfully provided a few pairs of slides to wear to the toilet so do make use of them!

Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to hold a small function. This is definitely a place to consider :)

P.S. A thing to note would be that the building directory at the lobby doesn’t show the name of the studio, so guests were a little uncertain (it’s called Kong Beng Industrial...

the moment i viewed the teahouse studio, i knew we had to have our twins first birthday party here! it is such a cosy space, the furniture gave us lots of flexibility, we ended up setting up chairs along the walls for people to sit, tables at the side for food, and keeping the main space empty so that the babies and toddlers had plenty of space to roam around. i love how simple, modern and clean it looks, so we don't have to spend too much on unnecessary decor. the best part is, as a photography studio too, the lighting was fantastic! all my photos turned out soooo well. we also love how clean and cold the whole place was, my guest felt super comfortable. the couch area provided a cosy spot for my elderly parents too. the hosts, Lucas and Joel went above and beyond to meet our needs, and were always available to answer my queries. my guest had no issue finding the location too and parking was a breeze. 100% reccomend!!! thanks guys for providing such a beautiful space for events, will definitely host them here...
