Seven Seas Fisheries Food Emporium — Local services in Gauteng

Disappointing experience at Seven seas emporium. The quality of the fish is great, but the service is a major letdown. The lady in charge of cutting and preparing the fish was extremely rude and had a very bad attitude. When I tried to explain my needs, she seemed put off and defensive. When I politely addressed her behaviour, she denied having an attitude at all.

It's a shame because I love fresh fish, but I won't be back if this is the kind of service I can expect. Customer service is just as important as the product. Hopefully, they'll take customer feedback seriously and work on improving their staff's...

Finally I get a chance to review Seven Seas. As you walk in you are greeted with a feeling that you won't find anywhere else. This isn't just a fish shop. This is the Woolworths of fish shops.

What bowled me over was the bakery. I saw some coney rolls in the oven and waited for them. Got some ham from the deli and had a lovely ham and coney roll sandwich in the parking lot.

I also bought some Kingklip today. Cleaned and beautifully packaged I went home to make it with a chilli lime sauce. Wow, what an amazingly tasting fish! Everything is so fresh!

This place is special. Please...

The new store is amazing. Beautiful, clean organized and the staff are very helpful. It also feels a lot safer. I was a bit sad that they didn't have the same crab selection as the old store but I'm sure they will get more stock in soon. The king crab sections they use to have were incredible. Definitely a treat worth having. Hope the new store does well. It really is the most esthetically looking fish shop in Johannesburg. Can't wait to go back for more...
