Did the 8.30am session with Greg. Our 1st canyoning experience

Started with getting our kit packed and something worth noting. Everything is provided but you must carry it and the trip back was a bit tougher with wetsuits and it was hot. The first 30mins you hike through unspoilt forest and Greg shared some information about some trees and plants. He mentioned they had seen a caracal fairly recently, we weren't as fortunate.

Changed into our kit once we reached the abseiling point. Greg ran through all the safety drills and we had a practice run on how to use the equipment. And time to drop into the 30m gorge, a bit daunting as it was our 1st ever abseil. As Greg coached us we had to trust the equipment and then it became easier. The views going down into the river were incredible. Landing is on a rock

After landing you wade through the water you have a bit of a swim and then can do a few optional cliff jumps that vary from about 2m to 13m . Greg also coaches you on how to jump

Another shorter hike back to abseil point, get changed and the hike back which is mostly uphill. Wear decent walking shoes and clothes, a good test especially if it's hot but all worth it . A great experience and let's not forget the homemade energy bar you receive when getting back to...

My fiancé and I had a fantastic afternoon with Canyon Adventures during our trip to Wilderness. We started the day with Greg as our hiking guide and had a great time chatting with him and learning more about the area. We then spent the rest of the afternoon with our guide Branden, who was wonderful!! We had an awesome experience abseiling, cliff jumping, and floating in the river. Each activity was exciting, unique, and unforgettable. Branden shared so much of his extensive knowledge on the plants and ecosystem around us, and we were very grateful to have him as our guide to make this experience so fun and informative.

From the moment I expressed interest in doing the canyon trip, Greg was super communicative and helpful, which made the entire experience stress free and enjoyable! We are so happy that we did this and would highly recommend...

Es ist eine großartige und indidivuelle Canyoning Tour. Greg, unser Tour-Guide, ist sehr freundlich und kümmert sich super um einen. Wir haben uns von Beginn an sicher gefühlt und das Wissen, das Greg über die Gegend, den Wald und die Tier in dieser Region hat, ist beeindruckend und einzigartig. Wir hatten so viel Spaß und haben gleichzeitig noch eine Menge von Greg über die Region gelernt. Das Upcycling ist eine Herausforderung, aber hat total viel Spaß gemacht. Man muss in einer guten körperlichen Verfassung sein, da man schon eine gute Kondition braucht. Allerdings bietet Greg auch eine abgewandelte Tour an, die mehr für Familien mit kleineren Kindern ist und Reisenden, die nicht so viel Zeit für eine halbtägige Canyoning Tour haben. Aber wenn man die Zeit hat, wenn man in dieser Region ist, sollte man sie auf jeden Fall für diese Tour verwenden. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall! Die Kommunikation mit Greg war ebenfalls super. Er hat uns die ganze Ausrüstung zur Verfügung gestellt und uns super auf die Tour vorbereitet. Falls wir nochmals in diese Region reisen, würden wir die Tour sofort wieder buchen. It's an awesome and individual Canyoning Tour. Greg, our tour guide, is very friendly and caring. We felt safe right from the beginning and the knowledge Greg has about the region, the forest and animals living in the region is unique. We had so much fun and learned a lot about the region at the same time. The upcycling is challenging, but so much fun. Already the way into the forest was great. You need to be in a good shape for this trip as you need some condition. However, Greg is also offering another version of this trip, which is more suitable for families with smaller kids and travelers who don't have time for a Canyoning Tour for half a day. If you've the time while you're in this region, use it for this trip. It's totally worth it. The communication with Greg was also perfect and he gave us all the equipment that was necessary for the tour. He prepared everything for the tour very well.
