I recently visited Pavilion Mall in KZN, and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The mall has a great selection of stores and amenities, making it a fantastic destination for shopping and dining.
Food Court The food court is a highlight of the mall, with a variety of local and international cuisine options. I tried Tigers Milk and was blown away by their delicious milkshakes and desserts. I also visited Old Town Italy, which served authentic and mouth-watering pasta dishes and pizza.
Safe Parking One of the things that impressed me most about Pavilion Mall was the safe and secure parking. The mall has ample parking spaces, CCTV cameras, and security personnel on site, making it a worry-free experience for visitors.
Banking Court The banking court is also conveniently located within the mall, with all major banks represented, including ABSA, FNB, Nedbank, and Standard Bank. This makes it easy to take care of your banking needs while you're shopping.

Read moreWhat a utterly disappointing experience at pick and pay pavilion, my niece was paying for items promoted by FNB. it seems the cashier was confused and was redirecting her to her bank to link her card which caused a delay at the till at +/- 18.00🤔. Unfortunately there were men in the queue who started body shaming her for the items she was purchasing . The cashier kept quite understandable if pick and pay instructs their employees not to get involved in conflict with customers but as an advocate for the people who shop there surely she could atleast have called for security to intervene. This was a young woman who was being verbally and emotionally abused in the presence of pick and pay employees within the store and they chose to keep silent, shame on you management of pick and pay if this is what you promote. One of your staff was so dismissive when it was brought to her attention, she questioned why my niece didn’t call security, disgusted on so many levels, your staff could not even ask security to intervene and stop the bad behavior. The manager that came to eventually void the items pretended as though nothing was happening and continued doing what she was doing . I would never feel safe in your store again seeing what my niece had to go through and your staff were so dismissive of the incident. FNB if pick and pay staff do not understand the concept of your partnership with them, how do your clients benefit from the promotions because clearly this cashier didn’t have a clue of how the promotion runs and the client was inconvenienced, the manager voided the items instead of fixing the problems . To plus size women today showed that the staff in pick and pay will not support you if you are body shamed they will turn the other way and allow you to be insulted . Truly saddened by what we experienced today . A one star is actually too good right...
Read moreConveniently situated off the main road en-route to Pinetown and Pietermaritzburg, PAV or The Pav as locals would refer to it is all about convenience. Constant change is part of deal here with recent upgrades to the food court, a fully fledged gym with heated pool, new international brand clothing stores with the likes of H&H, Krispy Kreme and Burger King makes this Mall a destination of choice for all things shopping. Parking is ample but with limited free parking options. Therein lies the cons. Pedestrian crossings from parking to Mall is unmanned and the general public that traverse those roads lack the courteous discipline or are just impatient and rude at most times. There also seems to be a lack of security in the parking lots in general. Often times one finds that the pay station is out of order and end up putting up with unruly staff. The PAV is quite a big mall so be prepared to walk if it’s specials you looking for as, the 2 main supermarkets are at opposite ends of the building. A favorite spot is the cinema which I stopped frequenting due to the bad condition of the seats and poor general up-keep. There’s no lack of stores in the mall although quite a few have downsized over the last few years. The food court situated near the cinemas could do with a few more seating options but overall not bad - I’ve seen worse (Liberty Mall in particular). Mr Price Sport should think about installing an elevator from inside the main building as, often I would like to pay them a visit but the thought of their location is off-putting. ToysRUs needs to be sanitised both human and actual pests. Manager with a bad attitude coupled with moronic staff members with really bad attitudes. Rather visit Checkers massive toy aisles - great variety and...
