Over the years, Mugg and Bean has been our favorite restaurant for me and my wife. Today Mark and end to that error. If you want satisfying meal that match the price, this is not the place to come. I suspect this restaurant might be closing soon. If this was favorite place, look for another one. Even Chesanyama at the backyard taste nice than what we were offered today. Please ladies and gentlemen forget about Mugg and Bean, if you are Thomas and want a first hand experience and ignore this review, you are more than welcome to go and taste their braai plate for R240. Their sosatie looks like what I saw at a taxi rank, those gizards on a stick. As I give this review, I feel, I have waisted my money, coming here. This is absolutely goodbye Mugg and Bean for me. Attached is the plate that worth R240.

It was a pleasant experience. The waiters are generally very busy here. They are friendly and polite. The atmosphere is vibrant. Not ideal if you're looking for a quiet place. There is indoor and outdoor but inside the mall seating. There are Toilets nearby. The restaurant is wheelchair friendly. The mall itself is safe and easy to get to. The menu is varied and caters for then entire family and different dietary requirements. A great spot to meet with friends fir coffee or a good place for fresh meals and baked goods as well during a shopping day out.

Absolutely disgusting service from the waiter sad down at the table waiting for the wait put in our drink order and flapjacks for the kids as myself and my wife goes through the menu to see what we would like to order we tell the waiter to come back she then comes back with the drinks and start to throw our straw on the table at this point I asked her is there a problem she says no and walks away we then asked for the bill didn't even bother spending our hard earned money for this pathetic service

Overall the experience was amazing, could not fault the service nor the staff, the food however, was not disappointing in taste BUT was absolutely horrified by the portion sizes given against what was advertised. We ordered 4 of the buffalo chicken english muffins with blue cheese on it, two however we had substituted instead of blue cheese. The feta that was received for both, was not even equivalent to a tablespoon, as well as the two chicken portions were very well seasoned with sauce and the other two were dry and dissapointing. Our waitress called over the manager and she did agree that what was given was pitence to what it should be and proceeded to correct the mistake the kitchen made. It seems they are more concerned with getting out meals with speed than the quality assurance you would expect from Mugg and Bean. Nobuhle was our waitress for our time, she made our morning and assisted us wherever she could and noteably with the biggest smile on her face. Thank you for making our experience more...

Had the most unpleasant experience at Mugg and bean, Pavillion. Went to the store at about 11:15 with no servers in attendance to seat us and we noticed a booth seat vacant in the store and we decided to sit in it. There was no reserved sign or any indication of anyone sitting at the table. Then out of nowhere a server tells another server that the table is occupied. We were asked to leave the table by a white female server whom said the table was occupied and we must move to the outside seating area. What offended me was the manner in which it was done in a loud tone and it felt rather embarrassing to be asked to leave a table in front of other customers. I did not respond but got up and left because Mugg and bean does not deserve my hard earned money. It's sad that in our current economy and the competitiveness in the food industry that a customer could be treated in this manner. Sorry Mugg and bean, you have lost a...

Service was excellent by Buhle, but my concern was the portions and presentation were completely not up to Mugg and Bean standard. We eat with our eyes and I can guarantee that the meal was not appetizing at all, even my hibiscus and ginger slush was white and had no ginger kick at all, no value for money at all completely no attention to detail, as for my son's meal wow those eggs were not scrambled horrible standard. Matter was addressed with the manager and he tried to salvage the situation but that unfortunately does not take away from the fact that your portions were a complete insult compared to other branches and the Mugg and Bean standard, we've grown accustomed too no wonder it's no longer packed with lines outside your competitors upstairs are delivering excellent presentation and justifiable portions with the same price. Pavilion branch is a no go. Pity I didn't take a picture cause wow...
