Cecil Rudman (my father) and a pensioner of 69 was at Flora Centre around 12 today to draw money, on arriving at the Capitec ATM (his provider) found that it was out of order, so he then went to the Nedbank ATM to withdraw, he was robbed by 3 black men at the Nedbank ATM. There was no one around him to help or any sign of security, they took his card and stopped the transaction of R200.00 that was in progress that he wanted to withdraw to pay for his car wash outside. He immediately went to Capitec to stop his card the Capitec banker then told him there are people infront of him and he must wait his turn, he explained to her the serious situation he was in but she still refused to help him. During this time they (the thieves) managed to withdraw R3000 from the FNB ATM at the garage across the road from Flora Centre and spent R580 at liquor city. We obtained video footage of one of the perpetrators from Liquor City who were very helpful in giving us a receipt and cctv footage. There was no center management at Flora Centre to help us at all they only phoned us back much later after having put the phone down whilst we will still talking. Security and their supervisor could not help or assist in any way as NO cameras are working in the center, this situation from our point of view is just far too convenient and unacceptable. A case has been opened at Florida Police station but due to loadshedding we have still not received a case number. Please be very careful at Flora Centre as we were informed that too many things are happening there and when these things do happen there is NO security, NO centre management and NO cameras working and no urgency or assistance from Capitech bank.
Find attached a photo of Flora Centre control room..... nothing working. And footage of one of thieves purchasing an expensive bottle of whiskey from...
Read moreNice to shop at my old favorite place, my daughter-in-law wanted to show me one particular shop, but were just disappointed that due to loadshedding most shops did open except the T-Juction shop we came for, first note shows open 10:30, we went for coffee and waited, went back note changed to 11:00, went back after 11:00 show signs through window doors, are you still closed or gonna open eventually, lady unlock door saying system did not came on yet, we ask but surely you can accept cash, lady says yes but then all things we buy she must write it out, really.... is that too much effort effort for business?. We said, yes why not.... then only she opened the door for business. Needless to say, Ackermans at Horison shopping centre gave us excellent assistance, even the security was so friendly and explain where is what, that was now excellent service with hesitation to assist during loadshedding. We will travel back to the Southcoast and rather support our...
