The Huguenot Restaurant — Restaurant in Roodepoort

We arrived at Huggenot about a week ago, it was just before 10am and we where looking for some warm lattes... at arrival no one was at the entrance to greet us, seeing it was still early we walked to the cashier counter to ask if we could order 2 lattes to sit down... we where rudely answered "yes" only with no greeting at all, and when we asked where the smoking section was as this was our verry first visit, he replied with a get out of my face answer "Just go there!" We went and sat down in their outdoor section, and waited for either someone to come and take our order or to serve it as we already told the cashier and 2 of his employees at arrival what we wanted... We waited for 25min with no service at all!!! Not even someone to bring us an ashtray!!! We left and even though there was alot of staff around nobody seemed to care!!! Fortunately for us Pizza Del forno was just across from them and they welcomed us with a warm and welcoming server who made us feel at home instantly!!! We also received our warm lattes in less than 15min ... thanks you Pizza Del forno... see you...

HUGENOT ROBBED US!!

my father passed away and we held the celebration of life at the Hugenot resturant in Flora Centre and we paid a deposit for platters and a tab to run until that amount had been exceeded.Cecil the Manger was informed not to go over that!needless to say later in the evening we were told to pay an extra R10 000 as the lack of management meant that people had exceeded the tab and we had to forfeit the bill!I asked for a print out of the bill and i was told that he could not provide one and only has a total of amount of alcohol spent that night,so Cecil basically was telling me that we had to pay for every drink bought that night !your lack of management is a disgrace!I will name and shame THE HUGENOT RESTURANT everywhere I can!I will also be taking this further as I want proof of where this amount was sucked from!!!!!!!YOU MUST CLOSE YOUR DOORS. WHAT A DISGUSTING...

Rude bombastic owner. Got there at 16h14 and told the waiter wanted to order 3 burger specials which ends at 17hoo. Was told by the waiter we can only order 2 as the 3rd erson has to be seated before they can order the 3rd one. Third person was on way but held up in horrible traffic (robots not working) Called on ownerto discuss this. He was rude to the point as stating that Florida was a p.oor area and therefore he was obliged to sell these burger at cost price. If 3rd erson was not seated before 17h00 irrespective if we had been waiting for her arrival since 16h15 she would not be able to eat the special. His attitude sucks and no customer skills and the referred to Florida as being a poor area. I have decided that this restaurant is a poor restaurant in a good area that requires management skills. I have been there a few times and the place is rarely well...
