동문재래시장 — Local services in Jeju

Great place to visit and experience local market atmosphere. Lots of food stalls besides market produce too and in some adjacent wings, they sell clothes, curtains, table cloths, etc.

Spend an hour wandering through and pick whatever you fancy to taste. We bought crabs and Hotteok. Also had salt bread ice cream (separate review)

Interesting place if you want to experience a local market. A lot of fresh seafood stall operators offer dinning just behind their stall, where you can try some fresh sashimi. The market is divided into different sections where you can find fruits, seafood, dried products, meat etc for sale. What the blooming waste of time. Every lane every street sells the same thing .. frivolous jeju orange souvenirs and Jeju oranges.

The street food selection was terrible and limited.

I have taken a picture of what seems to be a USD2 bottle of Jeju orange juice commonly sold in foam boxes thoughout the market turns out to be FAKE instant orange juice you get out of a 7-11. I knew this because inoad USD 5 for the original one squeeze in front of me.
