Was debating whether this was a 4 star or 5 star. In the end for "US" it is a 5 star, because we loved it. We have been back several times as it is so cheap!

Let's get this out first. This is not the "best" karting place in Tenerife. The karts are not new, and the circuit is in need of maintenance. That is there are bits of track/tarmac which is broken/cracked/pitted but I don't mind that. Not looking for a F1 track, we're looking for fun.

Safety is well, essentially non existence. There is NO safety briefing, no overalls, balaclava etc. Your helmet is what they give you and it does fit (just), but looks like an old motorbike helmet that they have found. No explanation of safety flag etc.

We are a family of 4; a girl who is 8, son 11, my wife and I. My daughter has done the Legoland "driving school" but that's it. My son has done karting a couple of time before in Cyprus in a similarly laissez-faire style place. My wife has never done it before.

When we went the track was empty, so we had the track to ourselves. This was ideal as it was the girls (mum and daughter) first go karting.

We were just given the helmets, put on the kart and pointed to the track.

My daughter pootled around slowly and my son was happy going too. Wife was going round on a Sunday drive too.

Not sure how busy this place gets, but my guess is it is never heaving.

It is no frills karting, but be in no doubt, it is awesome fun. If you like karting, this is bare bones karting and you will love it, if you love karting.

Don't go if you want safety briefings etc. 6 Euro for my daughter, 10 Euro for my son - 10 mins on the...

Good karts, good track, but very bad service. They promise “Free taxi”, but no information HOW to get this free.. I called two times to ask HOW to get this free taxi, and lady said that “only return is free, you have to pay to come here”. Ok, but when we get there, they said “you need to pay for return”, cheaters.. and later another lady came and said “ you need to have a receipt, return is not free ”. So why not to write this CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO GET FREE TAXI on your web?? The result for me was that I paid two times for taxi, to come and for return.

Our family came at 11.00 and there were no other people before us, but when it was time to go, suddenly two other groups shown up and the guy said “sorry, you have to leave them first because of double karts” - so we had to wait more 30 min even that we came first

The guy at the cash desk (boss?) declined my Groupon for adult to be used by my son for junior ride (the raft is that junior price is lower then adult, and our Groupon for adult give more value) - seems that he was trying to get more money paid on the cash desk..

That was my first experience with this karting and it was on my birthday today 03.01.2022.. good fact that the ride was good and family was happy, but I left this place with a strong feeling that I was cheated, both by their boss and ladies at cash desk with their “free» taxi.

ps. Other karting here offer free shuttle...

There was some debate as to which karting track was better, this near Las Americas or the one closer to the airport. My 8 year old daughter and I were keen to do it and my wife and older daughter don’t like doing anything too complicated or fussy but we all had a great time here. This place has just 1 track and my concern was faster drivers would put my young daughter at risk but this really wasn’t the case at all. It was better because we all got to race together as a family on the same track and the karts went well, providing good fun for all ages and capabilities. They didn’t take our photos though, must have forgotten? It seemed a bit quiet and understaffed with 2 young lads working, didn’t ask many questions just gave us a helmet and a go-kart and that was it. I didn’t mind that at all. The other track by the airport has a junior track and they made my daughter use that one and I had to use a double cart on my own. The track was small and the karts were really slow, it was a boring experience. Probably good for ages below 7 and karting first time. We are glad to experience both karting businesses, and...

Would not recommend – extremely poor safety and supervision We visited Karting Las Americas in Tenerife and were extremely disappointed. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this place to anyone. The staff working on the track clearly need a proper safety briefing themselves – they seemed untrained, disengaged, and completely lacking in supervision. There was absolutely no attention to safety once the karts were on the track. During our session, there were several drivers who clearly had no understanding of how to drive safely and were a danger to others on the track. Shockingly, staff did nothing – no warnings, no interventions, nothing. These people should never have been allowed to continue driving under those conditions. The entire experience felt chaotic, unprofessional, and unsafe. It’s hard to believe how little care is taken to ensure even the most basic standards. Honestly, it felt like an accident waiting to happen. Avoid at all costs if you value safety or expect any kind of responsible management.
