Cabo De Gata

Cabo de gata . Seaside town set in the Cabo de gata national park , Almeria , Spain . Fantastic beach , very large wide beach that goes on for a very long way . The town itself is not that exciting, few shops and they are hard to find , pubs and restaurants along the promenade but not always open , there was a great Spanish fish restaurant alone the promenade that was open and busy 2017 when we were there , however recently when we were there 2024 it looked closed and as if the building hadn’t been open for a while , there are some other restaurants but none open feb 2024 . There is good flat road cycling and trekking close by Also a cycle shore track to Almeria . This quaint little Fishing town is the perfect place to unwind and relax. During the Winter you can mingle with the locals who live here all year around. Very friendly people. During the Summer season it takes a different turn and it fills up with people from all over..locals, foreigner and day visitors. Beautiful sunsets.
