Fantastic place lively and friendly, the Guinness is a smooth as silk, paired with the Old Brewer's fantastic fish & chips, the beer batter is crispy & flavoursome, the fish is soft cooked well & not dry. Freshly made mushy peas & tartar sauce full of flavours & a great compliment. Fantastic place well worth a visit. Before The Old Brewer opened in Hornstull, I wondered if a) the area needed (yet) another pub and b) if Stockholm needed another English pub. The answers to both question is YES! Since opening, the Old Brewer Hornstull has become my second home. It's exactly what the area needed. The staff are amazing and are the heart of this place. The food is absolutely incredible. Their Sunday Roast is without doubt the best in Sweden – the best outside of England? Maybe! Let’s start with the fact that the service was fantastic and both the comfort of the humans and the dog was attended to. The food was amazing (we had the fish and chips) but the menu is rather limited and especially the gluten intolerant vegetarian in our company found it difficult to order.
