I was expecting to enjoy another 2-hour session at the spa as I had previously done many times before. I was accosted by 2 staff members about my swimming costume half an hour into my visit. I only wear this swimsuit across Switzerland, I have worn it many times to Sole Uno and to other spas and never had an issue.
On this occasion I was told that I wasn't allowed to wear it because it was in line with their rules around burkas. Firstly, I am not a Muslim, but I find this rule offensive, nonetheless. The costume is swimsuit material, the staff member thought I had a top on. The staff member went on to state that in Switzerland these are the rules. I pointed out that I only ever wear this swimsuit and I have travelled extensively around Switzerland, they then changed their argument to ‘this house’, when I challenged that it was a Swiss wide rule.
I was shocked because I had not seen any information or guidelines around specific swimwear rules, I had not been challenged before and the aggression of the staff member publicly berating me about my swimming costume was terrible. The staff member then proceeded to come up to me a second time after ‘letting me go’, and demanded I come over for him to tell me something. His actions were inappropriate, he was on an obvious power trip, and hadn’t embarrassed me enough. He continued talking about Swiss rules and again was making a scene in front of everyone, it was very unprofessional.
Before leaving, I showed the receptionist my swimsuit, she was confused as to why anything had been said. Any guidelines should be on display clearly, and male staff members should be trained not to aggressively remonstrate with the public in a...
Read moreOverall the spa is fabolous, very clean and well maintained, plenty of different pools or saunas, free towels to use, water fontaines to drink. We had a massage and it was very relaxing, staff was nice and professional. As well we had lunch in the restaurant and I have to give kudos to that blond elder lady, she was really kind. HOWEVER, complete shoker was behavior of the cashier/receptionist person N.O. We have never been treated so miserable by customer service person. Not only that she made us pay for already pre-paid spa package, which btw was a suprise gift for my husband, but she NEVER apologiesed for her error. After prooving that the package is already paid, first she claimed that I did not show her the correct code from my voucher. (Which is sort of "funny" because I dont know what else I could show her instead?....) and then she tried to tell us, that ok, so we should keep the other package for next time. Without any kind of offering imediate refund for double charge. The attidute of her talking was just...WOW. We talked to her manager and explain our terrible experience with this person. Finally we also got our money back. Now reading comments even 1 year old, I see that this is ongoing problem. I just wonder, why management is not taking any action? It is so dissapointed to be so badly treated in the first minute of your visit in the place you go to relax and which except this one person offers such a nice service. We really wish to come back, as we really like Sole Uno, however the bitter sweet taste in our mouth is very...
Read moreoverall nice wellness center, but you should be more careful about choosing the employees!! The woman at the ticket desk was very rude and unrespectful: clients should not be treated in this way. I was there with my boyfriend, we are both students and we asked if there were some reductions. She asked for our student card, we showed her the card (the one showed in EVERY wellness center/museum/ in Switzerland and outside and ALWAYS accepted), but she started accusing us that that card was NOT a student card (IT IS THE ORIGINAL ONE from the university!!) almost accusing us and raising her voice, concluding with "it is only 2 chf less so let's not waste time and you should pay the full ticket". So, we payed the full ticket, and here two considerations from my side: it is kind of a joke only 2 chf of reduction (other centers in Switzerland has real reductions), but accepting that fact it was the treatment we received that was terrible. Finally, we payed for 2 hours, we were ready in time but we needed 5 more minutes for finishing to dry our hair, for being sure we asked her if we could have stayed 5 more minutes and in case paying since we exceeded the time but she said that we had to leave in that moment, not allowing us to stay more even if we were willing to pay a supplement, she kind of kicked us away! Definitely not choose this place to go in Switzerland, there arre other way better where the clients are treated as it should be, very...
