📍 Review for Predators Safari Club – An Unforgettable Safari Experience
I had an absolutely incredible experience with Predators Safari Club. From the well-organized itinerary to the knowledgeable guide and comfortable accommodations, everything exceeded my expectations. This safari was truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure!
🌍 Our Safari Journey
From February 13 to 19, we embarked on a 6-night, 7-day safari covering Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Our group consisted of six people—two from Japan, a Canadian couple, and a German couple—all traveling together in a Land Cruiser.
The itinerary was well-balanced and fulfilling, allowing us to witness an abundance of wildlife, including the Big 5. Our guide and driver, Thomas, expertly navigated us to the best wildlife viewing spots, ensuring we didn’t miss any remarkable sightings. The schedule was well-planned and mostly on time. Thomas also made the long drives enjoyable by sharing African culture with us—he even wrote down the lyrics to JAMBO SONG, which added to the fun atmosphere in the car.
🚙 Game Drives & Guide
Thomas was a fantastic guide and a skilled driver. He drove at a relatively high speed, which sometimes made me a bit nervous, but I quickly appreciated the benefit—it allowed us to avoid the dust clouds and exhaust fumes from vehicles ahead of us.
As expected on a safari, the roads were incredibly bumpy, and spending the entire day in the vehicle was quite exhausting. However, this is simply part of the experience, and Thomas did his best to drive as comfortably as possible. The Land Cruiser would get covered in dust by the end of the day, but Thomas made sure to clean it thoroughly every evening, which made a big difference in maintaining a comfortable ride.
🏨 Accommodations & Comfort
All the lodges and camps we stayed at were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff at every location were friendly and welcoming. Some lodges had slightly weak water pressure in the showers, but it was still sufficient for a refreshing shower after a long day.
One of the most memorable experiences was at the Signature Luxury Camp in Central Serengeti, where we could hear wild animals calling outside the tent at night—a surreal reminder that we were truly in the heart of nature.
🍽️ Food & Dining Experience
Dinners and breakfasts at the lodges were delicious and well-prepared.
Safari lunch boxes were mostly chicken-based, which became a bit repetitive. However, eating in the shade of acacia trees, surrounded by the stunning landscape, made every lunch feel special.
One unique aspect of the tour was that all six of us shared a table for every meal. As a Japanese traveler, this was my first time dining with people from Canada and Germany. Though I struggled with my English at times, I truly enjoyed our conversations and appreciated everyone’s patience and friendliness.
🎈 Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari
One of the highlights of the trip was the hot air balloon safari over Serengeti National Park at sunrise. Floating above the vast landscape gave me an incredible sense of freedom and perspective on the endless horizon. Seeing zebras, elephants, and hippos from above was mesmerizing and made me appreciate the beauty of the Serengeti even more.
💧 Sustainability & Practical Aspects
The tour provided each participant with a metal water bottle, which was great for reducing plastic waste. We could refill it with chilled bottled water from the cooler in the car, which helped keep the water cool for longer periods—a thoughtful and practical touch.
🌟 Final Thoughts

Read moreWe (my fiance and our two moms) took a 10-day safari, starting in Arusha to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and the south and north Serengeti. Unbelievable, magnificent, wonderful, fabulous, extraordinary.....a once-in-a-lifetime journey just can't accurately describe our experience. Predator Safari Club provided us with the absolute best guide. Gadriel was kind, patient, knowledgeable, funny, and so very educated about the animals and ecosystems of Tanzania. He was wonderful with our moms (thank you!). He ALWAYS found the very best photograph spots. He could spy a lion lying in the grass from 1/2 mile away, and he could answer any question we came up with, whether it was about the Maasai culture or why hippos poop in the water. We saw all the animals - lions, hippos, rhinos, zebras, elephants, wildebeest...well, everything. Best of all, he appreciated the sensitive environments that we were exploring. He respected our boundaries in regard to the animals, unlike other safari companies we witnessed that got too close to the animals, played loud music or allowed their guests to get out of the vehicle (yes, that happened). We felt safe and special with Gadriel and are so very appreciative of him for sharing his time, careful driving, whitty banter, long hours on the road and immense, immense knowledge! On another note, the lodges and tent camps we stayed in were spectacular. The staff was just amazing and the food was outstanding. I cannot express enough adjectives to describe our experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you for a memorable time in Tanzania! We'll be...
Read moreStarting in the middle of May we went on an eight day safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti. On our first trip to Tanzania not our first Safari) we could not have asked for a better guide than Barak. Needless to say he found us the big five and much more, what ever we wished for….lions, cheetahs, crocodiles, the great migration, a turtle…it never took long and he found it. His capability of spotting animals is breathtaking and his knowledge of wildlife and experience as guide and driver is just amazing. No question remained without an answer, no matter if it was about wildlife, culture or history. Not to forget the car - I don’t know how Barak did it, but it was clean every morning. But it was not only his expertise, that made our trip so enjoyable, but also Baraks personality. He is such a kind and caring person with a very good sense of humor. All three of us (my husband, 17year old son and myself) enjoyed his company very much, which is very important, since on safari you spend a lot of time together. We were very sad to say goodbye at Seronera Airport and will always remember the president told us: “Anything can happen in the Serengeti at any time.” When we come back we will definitely ask for Barak as our guide and highly recommend Barak and Predators Safaris, the partner of our German travel agent...
