Budget Safari Tanzania — Local services in Kilimanjaro

Had a fantastic experience with the Budget Safari team: Adelina (coordinator), Elly (tour guide and driver), and Chef (cook). Myself and two friends went on the 3 day, 2 nights tour incl Serengeti and Ngorogoro and we got to see the entire Big Five, as well as special appearances from not so common animals. Elly was great at pointing out different animals and even many birds, giving us history lessons along the way and even teaching us a song in Swahili. Our chef was super nice and made amazing meals for our group - we ate well! We chose to camp in tents each night and that made the experience far more immersive because we literally got to listen to natural animals calls all night, and even got to witness some water buffalo grazing right next to our tents! Took so many pictures, ate meals together, and felt right at home in the wild. Elly also picked us up and dropped us off right to our lodging, which was a far drive for him so we were extremely grateful for that. 1000% would recommend for any group or even for a solo individual. Adelina was very communicative in the planning process as well and is a delight to work with.

We used Budget Safari for our Tanzania honeymoon and it was amazing. Adelina and company came highly recommended and did not disappoint. We climbed Kilimanjaro on the 6 day Machame Route with Ferdinand as our guide. He was patient, fun, and made sure our pace and plan would be successful. The porters, food, and private toilet exceeded expectations.

Our 6 day lodge safari with guide/driver Elly was incredible. We saw all the animals you’d hope to see – up close and personal. Elly is friendly, kind, and has a knack for positioning the truck where the animals are going to be – often giving you better views than other visitors! He also takes great photos. Be prepared for a few long drives, but the vehicle was well-maintained and stocked with water and coke.

Trip planning was easy with Adelina. Payment was simple and she was able to keep our costs low despite some customization. She even surprised us with a “Just Married” tire cover for the safari truck, took us to dinner, and mailed a couple postcards for us. She checked in frequently to make sure everything was ok.
