More than we ever expected My kid and I fulfilled a longlife dream of ours and booked a 8 day luxury safari with Hooray Safaris in June 2023. By chance I came across Hooray Safaris via this portal and got in touch with them. I was in contact with a few other safari providers at that point but a lot of them answered very sporadically and their prices were outrageously high. Ally from Hooray responded to my email in a few hours and offered us a really good safari with exactly what I was looking for. He was super cooperative and fulfilled all our additional requests. I also want to mention that after we did the down payment, Ally still answered my emails with further questions immediately. When we arrived in Tanzania one of Ally's employees picked us up from the airport and brought us to our Hotel where we personally met Ally and our guide/driver for the week Allan. I really want to point out what a great guide Allan was. He has such a welcoming and positive mood, we immediately connect with each other. He responded to all our requests but also honestly told us if it would be better for example to start earlier instead of later to see more animals. Allan showed us the big 5 and so many other animals, explained their behaviors and told us all their names. He also handled all our Hotel-check in's and was a very good and safe driver. I would recommend Allan a thousand times. He made our trip even more great!
Also I want to mention that all our lodges were outstandingly beautiful, clean and safe. The food was great and there was always the option for something vegetarian and salads and fruits. Even though we both eat everything we really liked to have the option to choose something meatless for every meal. Last but not least I also want to say that we were speechless how close the animals came to our car or how close we could approach them. We never ever expected to see wildlife so close to us!All together this safari was more amazing than I ever thought it would be. I 1000% recommend Ally's Hooray Safaris to everyone who is interested in doing a Safari...
Read moreAn amazing and unforgettable experience. It was our first Safari and also our first trip to Africa. The booking process was easy, Ally answered our questions promptly and we never felt like we were being pushed or "sold" anything. All interactions were very friendly and professional. The fluent level of english of everyone involved really made communication very easy.
We were quite impressed with the organization of the whole tour. Everything was carefully planned along with options and fallbacks. Every lodge had WiFi, porters, great breakfast choices and an easy check-in process. The car had 4WD, radio, shovel (which wasn't needed) and the driver really knew his way around the car. There were also device chargers, binoculars, a bluetooth speaker and a fridge available.
We were extremely happy with our driver guide sule, as he made us feel safe, comfortable and informed throughout the whole time showing deep knowledge of Tanzania, wildlife and and driving skills. This man had 15 years of experience and sharp vision that could spot wildlife that we wouldn't otherwise notice. He also went out of his way several times to give us access to animals and wildlife situations we would otherwise miss. We witnessed a live predator chase around our car, had a family of cheetahs feasting just outside under our window, resting baby lions almost within touch distance and we were right in the middle of a family of elephants crossing the road. We left feeling very grateful for James.
After the end of the Safari we travelled to Zanzibar to have the most relaxing time ever.
We are very happy to have made this trip and would definitely LOVE to...

If it wasn't exciting enough to be going on a Safari in the Serengeti, we had an incredible tour operator to make it more special. Paul in the office was very organized and perfect guiding us step by step through the reservation process. Albert was an exceptional guide that traveled with us from resort to camp to lodge to tent and everywhere in between. We could NOT have had a more knowledgeable guide! Albert has a degree in animal behavior and was a wealth of information on the oddities and peculiarity of each habitat, herd, pride and species interaction behaviors. We learned many interesting facts about each species along with mating rituals and predatory protocols. This adventure was a bucket list fulfilled with the BIG 5 (Lion, Black Rhino, Leopard, Lion, Elephant, Water Buffalo) and Super 7 (Big 5 plus Cheetah and Jackal) all in one trip. We were close enough to giraffe, elephant, zebra and wildebeest to look right in their eyes as they walked within inches of our Jeep. We saw the mating ritual literally in front of our eyes of a male and female lion. We were very near 3 cheetahs resting under a tree, giraffe were fighting from dominance, warthogs are hilarious, hyena are demonic looking, hippos smell awful and crocodiles were typically nearby. Water buffalo, jackal, leopard in treetops, baboon blocking the pathway, black rhino under the trees and many incredible birds. The greatest part of it all, these gorgeous, majestic animals were in their natural habitat, running free and living a protected life!!! HIGHLY recommend this exceptional trip!! Albert as...
