Day Machame Route): We had an absolutely amazing 6-day hike on the Kilimanjaro (Machame route) thanks to Suricata Safaris! The entire operation was well-organized, and our group of three was supported by a fantastic crew. During the hikes, our two wonderful guides, Freddy and Alex, shared their extensive knowledge of the mountain, along with interesting experiences and stories. They ensured a comfortable pace for the group, reminding us of the importance of "pole pole." They also kept us well-informed about what to expect each day, ensuring we were always prepared. I particularly appreciated their motivation and support. More importantly, during the challenging summit night, when the altitude affected me, they guided me through the difficult moments, enabling me to reach the top and return to camp safely. I am so grateful for their help! Their priority is to see everyone succeed while also prioritizing health and safety. We also owe thanks to John, who served our meals and drinks and greeted us each morning with a smile and a cup of coffee. He consistently met our needs and was always ready to assist. Furthermore, our excellent cook, Gasto, created a variety of delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our group of three included individuals with allergies or intolerances, and they took great care to accommodate those needs, which we truly appreciated. Overall, the entire team was incredibly friendly and performed an amazing job. It's truly impressive how they manage all the luggage, food, water, tents, and other logistics. They are dedicated and hardworking individuals who are genuinely grateful for the opportunities they receive. We even had the chance to spend time in their tent, sharing stories, which I really enjoyed as it allowed us to connect with the people who made this trip such a memorable experience.
