This seafood market has recently opened and is located a bit far from the center of Bangkok. However, trust me, it is definitely worth it!
The market is divided into a raw and cooked food area, and I would mainly recommend coming here to eat seafood. There are plenty of seafood options, all very fresh and reasonably priced. Most importantly, the vendors will cook your seafood right after you buy it, so you can enjoy the freshest seafood at a cheap price.
I highly recommend the giant river prawns. Although they are not from the original source and freezes, you can see that they are very large and have plenty of roe. They are usually priced at 1200-1400 baht per kg, and you can choose the size you want. You can also choose wild river prawns, which come in different sizes.
Another recommendation is the oysters. If you haven't tried Thai-style oysters, you can safely try them here. They are served freshly opened and the market environment is very clean, so you can enjoy them without worry. Most importantly, they are very cheap, at 90 baht per piece, which is hard to find in the city.
In addition, there are other seafood options such as steamed crabs, various types of clams and snails, lobsters, and fish. The cooked food area is more common, with the typical options found in night markets.
This is my second time here, and I believe that the next time I come to Bangkok, I will definitely come back for...

And right next to each other, supermarkets, restaurants, fastfood chains, veggie markets and even massage shop was there too🤣👍 After had a good look around and finished dinner there. I went to get a foot massage. 💯 It was perfect finish of the day. Oh.. and getting around buses is just another good experience too. People are super kind and they will definitely help you out!!! On my way back home I took a bus to my hotel, and I pressed the bell to stop after passing my stop. Read moreThe highlight of Thonburi Market Place is definitely the seafood market and the huge variety of Thai street food—but what makes it even better is that they also feature some famous restaurants all in one place. It’s a great spot for food lovers and a must-visit for tourists who want to try everything in one trip.
The market is clean, spacious, and well-organized, with clear zoning that makes it easy to explore. Prices are reasonable, with no scams, and there are tons of choices so you can take your time and compare before ordering.
The seafood section stands out—you can pick fresh seafood and have it cooked just the way you like: grilled, steamed, or stir-fried with curry. Everything is fresh and packed with flavor.
There’s also plenty of parking, so even though it’s located a bit outside central Bangkok, it’s totally worth the drive. I highly recommend trying the crab fried rice, glass noodles with shrimp, grilled shrimp, steamed crabs, and honestly, just about...
