Update #1 1/12/21 13:30. Delivery appointment was 8 to 12 today, we received NO phone call, NO building materials and have NO receipt. We tried calling but were transferred to the automated system. Thai Whattodo now?
Today I was at the contractor counter at the rear of Thai Watsadu Phuket to purchase Conwood decking from a quote. I explained the address and showed the house book to write on the delivery survey. 15k for 200baht written in plain English and here they are inches from me loudly "you pay 260 baht", I'm getting anxious about Covid. But maps shows the distance is 12km I explained. The minutes tick by as the sales assistant who quoted 200baht and went to lunch, arrived back from her lunch. Finally I paid at the 200baht delivery cost using prompt pay and asked for the strip receipt. No receipt they explained. Here is your delivery instruction. But I need a receipt to recover the money from the owner I explained. I was helping out a friend who was in the UK. Another round too many different people loudly explaining and rising Covid anxiety. Finally a manager arrived to say its Thai Watsadu policy not to give the receipt of there is delivery. "If I don't like it don't shop here again" now you know the Thai Watsadu policy. But I need the receipt to recover my payment, I pleaded. Maybe it will show up when the decking is delivered, but who knows. Hopefully no one had Covid 19 because if they have, I have. No distancing.
