Carrefour — Local services in Sharjah

So this is interesting...

Last Friday, we were in the electronics section looking for earphones for my grandpa (he was with us on his wheelchair).

We had a few questions regarding the earphones and we asked if someone is working. The Samsung rep there tried to assist a little but he was not from Carrefour. God bless him.

However, he tried asking someone to come assist us. No response.

We then asked some of the workers to come and assist us and they all ignored.

So we asked the cashier (who wasn't that far away) that we need someone to assist us (to ask a few questions on certain earphones for my grandpa)... and the cashier was like "break break". We were like "WHAT? BREAK? NO ONE TO ASISST?"...... he was like "guy is on his break" and he literally ignored us. That is when we unfortunately had to escalate the matter and had to yell at the entire staff to bring the supervisor.

THAT WAS UNPROFESSIONAL. I was surprised at how low his response was and how this was handled. So are you telling me that only the guy at the dedicated section can assist? Are we in 1990????? It seems that MAF have a lot of work...

This could probably be the largest Carrefour Hypermarket in UAE. It's a world in itself. You'll find almost everything here - be it grocery, dairy products, freshly prepared hot food, grill section, butchery and fishery, bakery, fruits and vegetables, electronics and home appliances, ethnic food section (Indian, Bangladesh, Sri Lankan, Thai, Japanese, Korean, Mexican, Filipino, Indonesian food items) stationery, outdoor activity equipments (tents, chairs, gazebo, outdoor sofa sets), gardening tools, pet food, clothes and cosmetics, frozen food items, toys, mechanical tools, etc. etc.

They have an Arabic restaurant inside that serves freshly baked bread, salads, juices and some Arabic dishes. There's also a Fish restaurant that cooks your purchased sea food items (costs AED 10-20 per kg).

The prices are very low compared to other Carrefour stores and there are lot of offers almost everyday. The crowd is also less here since its on MBZ Road and away from the city center of Sharjah, as well as the bordering localities of...

Just like any other carrefour inside a city center this one is also huge and very spacious for a comfortable and peaceful shopping experience, in store arrangement everything is similar to how it is in other carrefours, there is offer section in the right side before electronics, there is separate section for food and bakery and there is even a small seating space for customers so that they can buy the food items and have it inside itself, don't have to search for a place to sit and eat. Located in Level 2 (first floor) of the mall, the nearest direct entrance will be first level parking entrance C and from the ground floor it will be entrance C and G. Parking is huge and free for customers, there is no time limit for parking also. It is generally less crowded in weekdays and tend to be crowded in weekends, even though you won't feel the rush inside you might feel the rush while reaching the billing counter, try to use the self checkout if items are less, it is faster and most comfortable method to checkout in...
