Malabar Thaza Restaurant — Restaurant in Sharjah

I am writing this lengthy review after having 5–6 experiences with this restaurant. After moving to this area, I find it close to my apartment.

During my first visit, I had their porotta and beef and on my second visit, I tried chicken pepper charcoal. The food was tasty and well prepared, but the portion was on the smaller side. The service was good.

Next time, I went to buy some evening snacks, but the attitude of the lady at the counter was not impressive. During another visit, I ordered porotta and thattukada chicken fry. When I opened the package at home, I was surprised by how small the portion of chicken was, not even worth half the price I paid.

Later, on a weekday afternoon, I ordered chicken fried rice and chicken Manchurian for home delivery. Even though the restaurant is just 300 meters away, it took over an hour to receive the food. I called them after 45 minutes and told the delivery person was on the way. After another 20 minutes, I called again and got the same response. The delivery finally arrived 15 minutes later and the delivery person said that he just left the restaurant. As always, the food was tasty, but again the portion was small.

On my final visit, I decided to pick up the order myself. I ordered two sets each of masala dosa and poori bhaji. This experience completely spoiled my morning. The masala in the dosa felt like potato curry, with very little quantity. Instead of bhaji, they had packed green peas curry without informing me. Dosa and poori were not good at all. I have now decided to choose any other restaurants nearby.

I still recommend trying their food. However, if you are opting for home delivery, suggest to confirm the delivery time.

To the Management: At your place, team trying to make the customer happy by speaking them a lot, well.. , but it is equally important to maintain transparency during home deliveries. At first of this order he told me that they have fried chicken and i order one snack meal which is two boasted chicken and one zinger hotdog. They told me that hotdog is not available and i switched it to one zinger burger and they 35 minutes of making that order and then the delivery man arrived by just one zinger and that zinger was looking like that. I just go directly to the shop which was so near to my home and i go to there and explain that they gave me chicken burger. Chef came out and he told me that he gave me zinger burger which was looking like chicken burger. Then i told him to show me difference of the patty and he brought them out and when i try to take a photo of that patty He really go offensive with me and start arguing with me. So I just left that chicken burger at that shop which I already pay full for that and they do not take any responsibility. That chef was so rude and very horrible manners. I REALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ESPECIALLY...
