Nightmare Experience with SPC Free Zone – Avoid at All Costs
My experience with SPC Free Zone has been nothing short of a nightmare. At first, their team was responsive and the process seemed smooth – right up until they received my payment. Once they had my money, everything went downhill fast. What followed was a series of mistakes, delays, and broken promises that caused me immense frustration and stress.
Wrong company name & broken promises: The first red flag was a major one – SPC Free Zone registered my company under the wrong entity name. This is an inexcusable mistake for a business setup service, and fixing it wasted valuable time. Additionally, they had initially confirmed certain business activities for my license, only to later deny them or claim special approval was needed. This blatant contradiction of what I was told upfront left me feeling completely misled and set my project back significantly.
Visa confusion & endless delays: Another huge problem was their complete lack of guidance on visas. SPC Free Zone never explained the difference between an investor visa and an employee visa, leaving me in the dark about which one I needed and I opted for investor visa’s, which meant they needed to become shareholders which I was not informed about . This kind of information is basic and critical, yet I had to figure it out myself because they failed to educate or guide me. On top of that, even simple paperwork was mishandled – they took ages to send me the correct invoices, repeatedly getting the details wrong before finally issuing the proper paperwork. All these administrative blunders led to endless delays. It’s now been almost a month since I paid for their service, and I still do not have the visa or the corporate bank account that were promised. Such delays are utterly unacceptable for anyone trying to start a business.
Unkept referral commission & awful communication: To make matters worse, they dangled a referral program to get me in and they didn’t pay out the person who referred - but the promised referral commission was never paid. This felt like yet another broken promise in a growing list of failures. Throughout this ordeal, communication with SPC Free Zone was horrendous. I was passed around between more than 10 different agents over a few weeks, having to re-explain my situation every single time because no one ever seemed to brief the next person. It was clear that their internal communication is chaos and no one actually takes ownership of client issues. Their email handling was abysmal as well – my messages were often ignored or met with generic replies that didn’t address my problems at all. There was zero accountability from anyone at SPC Free Zone; every agent either blamed someone else or simply didn’t follow up, leaving me to chase them for answers at every step.
No support – I had to do everything myself: In the end, I essentially ended up doing all the work myself with absolutely no support from SPC Free Zone. Every task, every follow-up, every correction to their mistakes – it was all on me as the client, while they sat back after taking my payment. The mental and logistical strain this put on me was overwhelming. What should have been a straightforward business setup turned into a part-time job of managing SPC Free Zone’s incompetence. Instead of making things easier, they made everything far more complicated and stressful than it had to be.
Final warning: This has been one of the worst business experiences of my life. I cannot emphasize enough how unprofessional, disorganized, and misleading SPC Free Zone has been throughout my process. For your own peace of mind, stay far away from SPC Free Zone. If you value your time, money, and sanity, do not engage with this company. Spare yourself the massive headache and find a reputable firm that will actually support you – avoiding SPC Free Zone will save you endless frustration.

The following happened to me since I was new to the UAE and knew nothing about the rules and regulations.
When I visited them they told me that once you register the company, they have many banks linked with them and they can easily help me get a company bank account in any of the bank I wanted (they literally showed me logos of the banks as well). I had no plans of getting a resident visa for myself. But after my company was registered, they told me that the bank account can only be opened if I had the visa (earlier they told me there was no requirement for a visa to open a company bank account).
I went to get my resident visa from them because what's the point of having a trade license if I didn't had a bank account? Nevertheless, after I got my visa I told them to help me open a bank account in one of the biggest banks in UAE but they told me that they can only help in getting me open a bank account in WIO Bank. Afterwards, I got to know that there was no such hassle in opening an account in this bank and I could have done it myself.
Later on, they didn't told me that I had to register my company for corporate tax within the next 90 days or else I will get a penalty. Guess what? I got a penalty as well of AED 10,000.
When getting a 2-year resident visa, they didn't told me that visa allocation was to be renewed each year despite of visa being for 2 years. Now my license will be expired soon, I went to them for renewal, they told me that I had to pay the visa allocation renewal fee again + also for the employee visa which I got for one of my employee. I paid that visa allocation separately 2 months ago. What's the point of paying that amount again? And when I confronted them, they told me its in the policy. TBH It wasnt even mentioned in any of the document.
Please dont fall for them. These google reviews are fake and they tell you to give a 5-star rating to them when you are sitting in the office infront of them. They will run behind you like crazy and once they get your money they will then reveal their true self.
Don't get your registered with them, if you do, get everything taken in writing in a proper...

As a business owner, I’ve dealt with many companies over the years, and I have never left a negative review—despite occasional minor frustrations. However, my experience with SPC Freezone has been so appalling that I feel obligated to warn others.
At the start, SPC Freezone was incredibly responsive, constantly calling, emailing, and WhatsApp messaging me with offers and promises of seamless service. But the moment I made payment, everything changed.
Getting hold of anyone became nearly impossible. The entire visa and medical process was a nightmare, causing me enormous stress. What should have been a straightforward residency process took several months longer than expected, leaving me stuck in Dubai, unable to leave, which had a severe impact on my business—I couldn’t travel to meet clients or operate effectively.
Every time I reached out for updates, I was bounced between different representatives, none of whom had any knowledge of my case. It was an endless cycle of miscommunication, delays, and frustration.
Due to SPC Freezone’s failings and incompetence, I have now been forced to close my company with them at a considerable cost. Despite their endless mistakes, they refuse to acknowledge any wrongdoing and have provided no apology or accountability for their actions.
On multiple occasions, I was told that the company was under restructuring and that staff were still being trained—yet this was at the direct expense of paying customers like myself. How a company can operate in such chaos while continuing to take on new clients is beyond me.
To this day, I have received no formal acknowledgment, apology, or resolution from SPC Freezone. They clearly have no idea what they are doing and show no concern for the financial and professional damage they cause.
If you are considering using SPC Freezone, I strongly advise against it. Their lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service has made this one of the worst business experiences I have ever had.
Stay away and look for a more reputable free zone if you value your time,...
