If I could rate MuscleHut Ashford an 11 out of 10, I would. The space is huge, well-organised, and the views while training? On point. Every section is clearly laid out, legs, chest, back, arms, shoulders and the Dumbbell weights go up to 80kg, you know how rare that is.. . If you're serious about training, this is the place. Me and the boys hit a full chest and back session, squeezed in some arms and shoulders too. Didn't officially ask to film, but we saw tripods around so we figured it’s a content-positive space. Still, we kept it respectful, just in case. The crowd in there? Locked in. Focused. But the few we spoke to were solid, good energy all around. All in all: Big space. Beautiful setup. Great staff. Serious training atmosphere. MuscleHut Ashford — we’ll be back. #MuscleHut #MuscleHutAshford #AshfordGym #TubzysJourney 🔥 Service: Let’s talk staff. We were greeted and shown around by one of the female staff members, professional, friendly, and yes, very easy on the eyes. Just keeping it real. The gentlemen working there were calm, respectful and had good energy too. Whole vibe felt welcoming. 💰 Price: We paid £10 for a day pass, and I believe the monthly membership ranges between £40–£45. Now let me be real — I’ve got nothing bad to say about the gym. If you're after that raw iron energy, MuscleHut brings it. Machines for days, serious layout, serious potential to help you get results faster because of the variety they offer. But me personally? I'm a bargain hunter at heart. I don’t like spending too much money on memberships if I know I can get the job done elsewhere for cheaper. That’s just how I’m wired. Is it worth it? For someone who lives and breathes this gym life and loves trying different machines, then yeah — absolutely. It’s got the goods. But for me, I’d come through for occasional sessions, not necessarily every month. Respect to the setup though — it’s elite. 💯 ✨ Let’s talk facilities. Toilets? Spanking clean. No nasty smells, no lingering funk — none of that "bad guts" aftermath you sometimes get in other gyms. Smelled fresh, looked fresh. Proper job. ✅ Changing rooms? Same story — clean setup. Showers are curtain-based, they work fine. There were towels placed on the floor (probably to deal with splash from the showers), but nothing that gave off dirty vibes. Just sensible, clean use of space. Only downside? No lockers. We didn’t do our research — that’s on us. We assumed lockers would be standard, but there weren’t any. So we ended up carrying our bags around or leaving them in eyesight. I spoke to one of the lads training there, and he reassured me: “No one goes through people’s stuff here — everyone’s here to train.” 💬 Still, it was our first time, so we played it cautious. That’s just respect and accountability. Hopefully, lockers are something they add in the future. 👯‍♀️ Crowd: We got there around 1:00 / 1:30 PM, and it was sensibly busy — just the right balance. We managed to get on every machine and movement we planned, no delays, no waiting around. ✅ As for the vibe, let me tell you straight: this gym's got that raw, real atmosphere. There’s music playing, but not so loud that it’s in your face. Just enough to keep the energy alive. You’ll hear the grunts, the heavy breathing, the occasional roar — let’s call them “sound effects” and “ad-libs”. It's part of the grind. Some people scream, some people grunt, some just go silent beast mode. That’s what real lifting environments are about. This ain’t no commercial gym where you have to hold in your fart, can’t drop weights, and someone’s giving you side-eye for breathing too hard. Nah. This is an iron gym — raw, expressive, no silly restrictions. The kind of place where passion’s allowed to make noise. By the time we were wrapping up (around 3:30 to 4:00 PM), more people started showing up. You could feel the crowd building toward that late afternoon rush. But during our time, 100% tolerable. Space to move, space to breathe,...
Read moreAlmost impossible to communicate with them. Tried calling about cancelling my membership end of Nov as there is no other way to do it like through an app and couldn’t get through to them so I was charged in December. Called the direct debit company instead days later to try and see if they can help and they said due to cancelling the membership too late I will also have to pay in January unless LRF agree to let me off as the fault was theirs for not answering. Got in contact with LRF to which they said they’d look into it and I never heard from them again and couldn’t get through to them either so the payment was taken. I cancelled my membership as the gym has become too messy and busy with there being barely any space to move and the popular machines and squat racks being in constant use, leaving barely any decent options. The open space plan has actually made it feel more claustrophobic than before with the separate rooms. I can’t even get through to them to talk to them about this situation of being charged for 2 months since deciding to cancel, which leaves writing this review as my...
Read moreHugely disappointed in the gym's treatment of loyal customers. When the pandemic started, myself and others did the right thing and paid money we could barely afford to keep these guys afloat and employed. I personally paid hundreds of pounds while out of work myself. This is despite the facilities getting worse over time, the opposite to what the gym claims. No more boxing, no more large mats.
Now the pandemic is over, the gym has increased membership ONLY for older members by over a third to ÂŁ40. I really regret supporting this gym and can't believe how shameless this is. There arguably wouldn't even be a gym of not for the kindness of the members, now we are the ones targeted like this? A real low blow to the loyal members. All this after being asked to continue our memberships and deciding to do so.
Please rethink this, a gym should support the community not exploit its kindness. I had planned to return after my recovery but this is just wrong and dishonest. Wish I had cancelled a year or more ago and...
