In 2023 Ashford Borough Council put a huge effort into significantly remodeling Victoria Park . We now have a variable height lake fed from the Great Stour river with a small viewing balcony and a twin plank zig zag bridge. Nearby is a fun and popular Asphalt bicycle pump track which is also great for scooters. There is a new entry point into the park behind the lake over a timber footbridge spanning the river from the new flats in Leacon Road. Throughout the park are many public Barbeque stations for "bring your own", together with special bins for "cool" ash and rubbish A wild life pond sits below the "Rockery" Sensory Gardens with winding paths and a few chairs. Nearby is the new exciting and fun children's play equipment area including a zip line and mini trampoline. Also, the new cafe is bright and modern serving delicious hot drinks as well as cold and treats. The area by the Hubert Fountain has been remodeled providing new neat access points to the area. All in all, it's a really good and clever update to our local...

A great open space right by the town center. Enter from town via a footbridge and you come across a very large fountain, great for dipping your feet on a hot day. There are large lawns encircled by a tarmac path, great for jogging around, and plenty of benches to eat lunch or just watch the world go by. Beyond the lawns is a playpark for smaller kids and the toilets. Another playpark behind that, again for little ones, and a small kiosk selling drinks, snacks and ice cream . There's also tennis courts and a car park. Follow the path down the hill and you come to apark for larger kids with a "combat" theme and a path and cycle path that follows the river all the way to singleton. Large playing fields on the left are popular for all kinds of sports. A...

A lot of refurb work has been done here and it's already looking good. Work continues. The cafe is a bit ropey though. I waited at the counter to be served for ages yesterday and had to shout to raise attention after a while...turns out the server was just in the adjoining room..so 0/10 for customer service. The coffee was awful too. If this is how it is so soon after opening I dread to think how it'll be in a couple of months. Another server (man) had been outside on his vape or something and came in straight behind the counter and began working without hand wash...so 0/10 for hygiene practice too. I won't be going here again even if I'm in the park. In summary, the park is excellent and is currently being let down...

I have not been toVictoria Park for many years, and went today with our visiting daughter and grandchildren. I was so disappointed to see the amount of litter and overflowing bins around the children's play area, especially as our daughter said Victoria Park kept coming up on the Internet as the place to go to. Ashford Borough Council needs to look at the Internet impressions again as it does not give the true picture, Shame on You, for not keeping a beautiful Park and toilet area more hygienic especially at this time of covid.

The only central park in the Town. Need more events like the 'Create Festival' which really pulls the town's residents together for a special moment. Great for dog walks if you take the route to the adjoining Singleton Lake, passing the 'fjord' that Ashford derives its name from. There has, unfortunately been a few attacks in the park amongst youths... probably due to the fact that Ashford has so little to offer in terms of outlets for creativity.
