Bombay Balti — Local services in Bath

Yeah - used to get deliveries from here a lot - but - last night I actually went in and ordered 'face to face' - maybe that was my mistake?

Last coupla times, standards have dropped, definitely!

My kids will only eat mild stuff like Korma - it's a simple dish to make, right? But - it should have a little bit of spice - right? This was sooo bland last night - culinary equivalent of wallpaper paste - coloured yellow - not nice - I took a look at my son's plate and counted only 4 chunks of chicken - where's the rest of the chicken guys?

I like Tandori Chicken and have eaten this dish a LOT in my life - I know how it should look / taste / be presented - this was not a good example...dryer than dry (no added sauce whatsoever) no added fried onion which is a given with this dish, barely any herbs, NO LEMON and, boy, was this poor chicken overcooked, it had shrunk down sooo much that they were actually able to fit it into a rice-sized container - make sense? Tiny...

Dry, small, unadorned and un-tasty - I as not happy...gone in a flash - still hungry...

I don't need the free onion salad, I don't need extra papadoms which I'd have ordered if I'd wanted em

I need to be able to trust restaurants to provide decent takeaway food, fair portions and presented consistently

Me and my wife couldn't be bothered to cook tonight so we ordered a Indian from Bombay Balti I phoned the order through saying what my wife wanted and what myself wanted we then had to wait 25 to 40 mins before I went and collected it. My wife had asked for a Chicken Tikka Korma and Special rice and for myself I ordered a Balti Karma and Boiled Rice I got up to the shop to collect it and pay for said food then took food home my wife went on to dish up her food and I went on to dish up mine. My food was correct and definately what i had ordered but my wife's was totally wrong it wasn't what my wife had ordered at all so needless to say my wife wasn't happy and didn't eat what they had sent I ended up taking it back and complained which I then got the...

The food took almost 2 hours to arrive. At time of delivery I was told that the restaurant would call if the food was going to be late. This call didn’t happen. I had to ring the restaurant. I asked for a discount due to the poor customer service and late delivery, which I thought was reasonable. This was blankly refused. When the food finally arrived it was pretty good.
