Trowbridge House — Restaurant in Bath

Avoid at all costs. As soon as we entered we were approached by a man before even getting to the bar. He asked for our IDs pretending to be a bouncer, bartenders didn’t say anything. Called me a man then proceeded to talk to me, tapping me and bothering me while I was trying to get a drink. I told him I had a girlfriend and wasn’t interested, which seemed to make him more interested, then he made a vulgar comment. Bartenders clearly saw we were very uncomfortable but were just smirking and chatting in background. Completely ignoring us. Didn’t even greet us at the door, nor ask if we were either okay or wanted a drink. Not very good service at all, we left feeling extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. Will never be going back, which is a shame as we never even got to order a drink. We were forced to leave. Horrible...

As I entered with my friend we were approached by an older man asking for our IDs, he didn’t work there and was making fun of us, then he proceeded to pester us, asking if my friend had a boyfriend. She proceeded to say she has a girlfriend making the man having a very inappropriate answer showing his disrespectful behaviour. The bartenders could see we were uncomfortable and them being women we thought they might help us however they just stood and watched as these men were making us clearly uncomfortable, we hadn’t even managed to order a drink before we left. This is not a house! And it is not in trowbridge! But it's a lovely place to spend your eves! With no food to cook it does what a pub does best! Tasty drinks at tasty prices! You're going to find free pool! A free jukebox and very funny (albeit very very slightly racist) people! Sure it doesn't look incredible from the outside or the inside. But you're going to get a type of fun that expensive hipster bars just will...
