GNM has opened some new eating places recently, and still retains some older businesses. The closure of Great Victoria St Railway Station and the stages of opening the new Grand Central Station mean the Mall itself is still in a state of transition, with some premises standing empty. for the moment. Despite all this It still has some atmosphere and busyness about it especially nearer Victoria St itself. I look forward to seeing at least one good convenience store/newsagent and some more shops ASAP (There used to be a good ladies clothes store, a lively new/secondhand bookshop and others on the Mall - in my opinion, it needs more of that sort of diversity in the future). The prices in the eating places on the Mall itself don't seem to be as outrageously inflated as those you can get on. or near to Railway /Bus Stations themselves, and have the added benefit of offering decent places to 'sit in' near your train/bus, if you don't want to eat out on the concourse. Great Northern Mall is in such a good location near the city centre, and will be all that is left of the much loved Great Victoria St Station (the first introduction to Belfast for so many over the years) This small Mall still has a lot going for it and could be really great - Potential Investors and future customers...

Totally unprofessional security staff who should be ashamed of themselves. If that's what the shopping centre has to offer...not for me!!! God help anyone who needs an ambulance in a hurry and those 4 staff are your...
