Balti Hut — Local services in Birmingham

Hi there I ordered today the Saturday 18th November 2017

I will just start by saying I wanted to put no stars but google don’t allow this

I waited over an hour and a half for my food when I was told that it would take 30-45minutes in the end I had to wait outside for delivery driver to arrive as I thought he might of got lost to my door

I had chicken tikka Marsala the chicken was stone cold and tough as old boots I jus throw it in the bin as it was fit for human Consumption my uncle had the lamb tikka again it was so hard when he stab he’s fork in it the lamb jump off his plate as it was still alive, nana breads were burnt and hard I could knock my sister out with it the chips taste like rubber and just a hint to mangerment might want to change the oil every now and then,

Has a chef myself I understand that a Saturday night can be busy as fair played to them they say they cook all food fresh to order which I can’t believe this and would love to be able to see in the kitchen for myself cus Im sure I could cook a better curry then what I had tonight

I won’t be coming back has the meal I had tonight I wouldn’t give my dog

If you want a nice curry I would go to your local supermarket as this place is not a Traditional curry house and my local supermarket brand taste...

We have been using Balti Hut for many years at least 1-2 times per month. Our entire family uses this takeaway in fact, which makes writing this review all the more disappointing.

On Saturday night we placed an order online for 5 people. It said 60 minutes for delivery. We watched the countdown hit zero and then waited a further 30 minutes before calling the restaurant as we know they are busy.

No sincere apologies were made but they had clearly forgot the order. In fact we were told they hadn’t even made it yet! We received it about 20 minutes later.

Now when we order for two people, we normally get a small freebie starter which is nice. Despite ordering for 5 people - mains, rice, naan’s, poppadoms and a starter and waiting 50 mins longer than originally stated, we didn’t get so much as a free onion bhaji.

Such a shame as we spend just shy of £2k a year as a family on food from here, and failing to throw in a starter costing them less than a £1 to produce or refunding the delivery/service charge we will question whether we should try...

Don't order a Indian takeaway a lot but when I do , I go to balti hut nice friendly staff , always had good service ( food is always delivered in under a hour and hot ) some items on the menu can be inconsistent but I guess that's down to different chefs and there style of cooking . If your looking for a amazing pathia , out of this world onion bhajis then you won't go wrong with this place ( these two items I can give five stars too! ) Some of the food is absolutely tasty some a little less desirable but I imagine that's becuase of how many different items they offer. I wouldn't say the food is always restaurant quality but your not paying restaurant prices.
