Prices Up & Quality Down.... Not so special anymore. I've Been using Ku's for many years and it's always been consistently good, so I was looking forward to my takeaway last night and was shocked & so disappointed. The little meat spring rolls have always been superb, but they have changed them for bigger ones with more vegetables than meat, which was just tiny bits of pork. The prawn toasts are also bigger with more toast than prawn. M dish had loads of onion in it and water chestnuts replaced by cheaper ingredients. The other main course was totally wrong from what I ordered. Chicken & Mushroom instead of Chicken & Oyster Sauce. They charged for prawn crackers despite my order being over £20. I'm not sure if there has been a change in ownership, but unfortunately what used to be an authentic Cantonese takeaway has turned into one of the Chinese Chippy's that serve a poor English version of the authentic food they should and used to serve. I shall not return and will try happy House which has been highly recommended to me...
Read moreReally saddened to be leaving this review, been going to ku’s since I was a kid and always raved about it. However recently I have had some poor experiences, around covid time I noticed that my order (as a creature of habit) had reduced in quality and found things to be more fatty and have less flavour in general. I am not sure if this could be new management/supplier however it definitely not as good as it used to be. Recently I had to take and order back as it was incorrect and also the soup taste of nothing (tasted like sugary water) when I phoned them up to explain the mistake I was met with patronising pride and rudeness. On going back they changed my order to what I asked for and they gave me another soup. The staff were somewhat dismissive, on arriving home the soup tasted the same. For £40 of my hard earned money I expect decent food and what I ordered, and a smile and some courtesy. Unfortunately as the above my experiences with Ku’s have been gradually becoming poorer. Therefore I will be...

My partner and I used to live a few doors down from the takeaway. We thought it would be like any other Chinese takeaway that you have in a neighborhood, but this is far from the truth.
Ku's has THE BEST Salt and Pepper Chips in Lancashire. Nay, the North of England. Easily the most iconic thing on their menu. Since moving to South Manchester, my partner and I just can't find a true replacement for Salt and Pepper Chips anywhere, so we opt to make the journey all the way to Bromley Cross for the itch and nostalgia. And it's so, so worth it. Extremely flavourful, and their large portion will absolutely fill you up!
The staff have always been super hospitable, and the quality of all the other options on the menu are equally good in their own way, namely the black bean tofu which I normally pair with the Salt and Pepper Chips.
TLDR: Best Salt and pepper Chips...
