Bolton Junction Traditional Fish & Chips — Local services in Bradford

Just ordered a special and large chips as well as a standard fish and chips. Used this takeaway regularly with the previous owners, never had cause to complain, always delicious and well cooked. For the first few weeks with the new owners the food kept to the same standard but the quality had been dropping off, very hit and miss, it depends on who is preparing the fish to order, Today was the worst ever, the batter on the very small special was hard and had come away from the fish leaving it very dry and hard. It was broken up, nothing resembling a fillet of fish. The staff responsible has obviously never done the fish fryers course. My daughters regular fish was almost the same size, she has more chips than our large portion and was properly battered, although it was not cooked through and had raw batter in parts - sorry...

We have just visited today wasn't very impressed the staff was unorganised the chips was very greezy and some was hard like they haven't been cooked properly had a long wait and with it been a Saturday night which you would think it would be busy but it was dead the cakes looked like they have been there since dinner time and was very brown and hard very disappointed as this fish shop used to be the best in Bradford not anymore since the new owners...

Staggered in last Friday on my return from #eurovelo10 for a chippy tea, so good that I popped in last night for an easy Friday tea😋 the queue outside tells you they are open!
